Ignore does not work even though it has not been committed.

Created new repo Exported empty repo Added two folders that contain many files and folders. I get the blue question marks on the two top level folders, but not on sub-folders / files. In one of the top level folders I have a cache folder I want to ignore. Right click ignore and it gives me the erro
