Regardless they might not even have plans for releasing versions in the
mac app store. Nothing to fret about at this point.

It only doesn't allow you to buy again if the version of the app NOT from the
store exactly matches the version of the app in the store. That is to say,
anytime the versions get out of sync, it won't show as installed. It's a
perennial annoyance.

Hardly see an issue there as it at least keeps you from buying twice.

How do you know this? This is exactly opposite of what everyone else is
