Re: [Veusz-discuss] help for common y -axis label?

Hi Mainpal, Every axis has an "direction" option. Every new axis is created horizontal (i.e. x) by default. You may try to change its "direction" property to "vertical", will that help? Hope that helps, Sergey > -Original Message- > From: Veusz-discuss

Right, compared to Johan’s solution there is certainly more work (however not impossible) on making bars having the same width ☺ Sergey From: Johan Asplund [mailto:asplu...@gmail.com] Sent: 23 February 2016 13:08 To: Gromov, Sergey <sergey.gro...@mpic.de>; veusz-discuss@gna.org Subje

Hi Birger, An alternative to Johan’s solution would be to play with the axis-broken widget. It allows customising axis breaks and their position. You can experiment for the best layout in the sample file I attach... Cheers, Sergey From: Veusz-discuss [mailto:veusz-discuss-boun...@gna.org] On

Hi Birger, It is not possible to open the file you sent – you need to send the data file (160222_example1.csv) along, as Veusz does not save imported data by default. Alternatively, you could choose “unlink all” on this dataset in the data browser, then it will be saved in *.vsz. Sergey

Hi Tim, Take a look at format specifiers ("%V...", in axis labels properties) used in Veusz.. they are slightly different from those used in C printf functions, but quite flexible. Quote (from http://home.gna.org/veusz/docs/manual.html#idp52342176 ): Veusz allows dates and times to be

Hi Yan, For this particular case, you can add two empty series with the same visual properties but no data and place them in the plot in the right order. For the actual plotted series, you just remove their captions so that they do not appear in the key. Sergey On 25 Jan 2016 11:14, Yan Grange

Hi, Use Data->Editor menu, variables are on the left. Some simple editing is possible, as it is not intended to be a spreadsheet software. Sergey > -Original Message- > From: Veusz-discuss [mailto:veusz-discuss-boun...@gna.org] On Behalf Of Albert > Sent: 19 November 2015 17:20 > To:

Hi André, Veusz usually picks up system settings, so try first changing these. E.g., in Windows 7 it’s “Control Panel -> Region and language -> Advanced...”. Hope this helps, Sergey From: Veusz-discuss [mailto:veusz-discuss-boun...@gna.org] On Behalf Of André Luiz Regis Monteiro Sent: 24

Dear Jeremy, It looks like 1.23.1-test works fine! I wonder, whether the older filtering facility (as opposed to the new plugin) is rudimentary now and should be removed? I tried (using older way) to make a filtered dataset based on another filtered one, and it didn't work, whereas the new

Dear Jeremy, It looks like datasets containing date/time type values crash the filtering plugin... I can reproduce crashing by: - creating any date/time data record - using it as input data in filtering dialog with any condition - pushing OK See an example attached. Best regards, Sergey

Hi Martin, You can use latex-style labelling, as described in the manual for Veusz ( see http://home.gna.org/veusz/docs/manual.html#idp28077644 ). E.g., type C_{2}H_{6} to have 2 and 6 subscripted, or ^{13}C for 13 for superscripted. The expression in {} can be multi-character. Hope this

Dear Jeremy, Great, 1.21.1.99 works well for me! I had a little feature request, maybe it'll be easier to add after the rewriting the widget tree code... - I often make many versions of the same plots (usually making a new page with a copy of the old one), and really miss an option to select

Dear Jeremy, Does anything else need fixing? I had no chance to answer on beta version timely... good there is another chance now! It relates to the non-orthogonal plots.  First, can you make coloured points available there as well? (I remember I wrote you once on this, but that wasn't the
