Jerry,
I think I I sent you one. At the time I think Richard also needed one but I was
down to my last one and decided to keep it. Since then, I have aquired a couple
more.

Hi All;
A few years back Fly Tyer magazine had a Cicada pattern in it that had an
orange antron belly, black foam, and pearl crystal flash. I've been looking
through my copies of Fly Tyer and can't find it.
Anyone remember what issue or if the pattern is posted online?
Thanks in advance;
I bet if you'll call or email Fly Tyer magazine they will tell you.

We have a large Cicada hatch here almost every year. We had one last year and I

If they're the annual Cicadas, they have a different coloration than the 17
year ones which have a lot of orange in the pattern color. The annual ones
tend to be green with a lighter greenish brown underbelly, at least the ones
around here do.

The reason Wayne is probably asking is because the Mid Atlantic Region is
in for an EPIC cicada year that is supposed to be even bigger than the
brood that hatched back in 2004. When the cicadas hatch, they are the only
meal in town for about 6 weeks regardless of whatever else is hatching at

Hi Scott;
Your absolutely right! The last hatch in Northern VA was so thick, I used to

I tied the mentioned pattern in the past and pond Bass went crazy for it! It's

In 2004 the 17 year hatch fizzled here in extreme SE PA. Kept waiting for them
to show up but only the annual ones made an appearance. The smallies in the
local creek I fish seem to like the big meal the annuals provide . The fun
part is watching the sunfish try to take them under. I like
