When I first got to the spot I was going to fish, there was a guide with two
clients. One had landed about a 20" brown and the other about a 24" bow. When I
finally got back with my license and some flies I fish the weed bed where the

Awesome trip even though the catching was not so good.
And that's why they call it 'fishing' and not 'catching'. But what a
gorgeous place to be. Love it out there.

Went to Aspen for a family reunion. My brother in law turned 70, so we all got
together to give him two surprises. One when he got home from work and we were
all in his living room yelling SURPRISE!
The next day our sister in law rented a room on the top floor of the Challet
facing Aspen

Yes it really was a beautiful spot.
Most of the mountains were snow covered.
On the way up to the bridge that crosses where the streams come in, the lake
was pretty low.
There were several remains of avalanches. And all at once the ceiling fell and
in came the snow and rain..
Got so bad I

The lake below the Maroon Bells near Aspen, Colorado is a beautiful setting
to go fishing. I used to camp up on the face of the Maroon Bells at upper
left of that picture. Denver
I got to fish Maroon Bells Lake today . Got one small rainbow on a parachute
Adams.
Got to fish in the rain , snow and grapple. Wind blew down the canyon so bad
that I had to leave.
Tomorrow the Frying Pan.

Hi Alan,
When we have fished the Fryingpan River in that location, the hot patterns
were Mysis Shrimp imitations below an indicator. Love that fishery, and if
you were there in July, the Green Drake hatch was phenomenal.

While I was fishing the Frying Pan River on Friday, a guy across and upstream
from me landed a 10 lb. Cutthroat just about a 1/4 mile below Rudei Res. I was
only fishing for about an hour and caught one Brookie before we had to head to
my brother-in-laws house.
May have some time after church
