I like the look of Tonys light but do the lights that attach to the vice
stem get on the way?

I don' find any problem with the stem getting in the way, It is adjustable up
or down asĀ is the angle of the lights. What I find handy is I can snap a light
off the magnet to look for a hook or tool I might of dropped. I have swiped the
magnet on the light over the floor to attract a hook that
I'll have to see if I can find it.

Hi Robert,
I saw a 6-LED silver clamp light with a 3/8 spiral gooseneck at Harbor
Freight that I thought would work as a portable tying light. I think it
took four AA batteries.

I've had one for years. Worked great until I left it in the car on a
hot day and the batteries blew up. Have been unable to find a suitable
replacement. Got no response when I emailed the maker.

Sorry about that happening, I guess it
When I was originally thinking about this I wasn't really thinking about
battery powered lights as I don't tie away from my desk very often, only
when I'm on a fishing trip or possibly when working away and have to finish
an order of. Maybe now will have to consider the option if I do
I used to tie at a number of shows and finding a plug in was usually a problem.
Now I only tie at four shows a year but I find the battery light is a convince.
My lights take one penlight battery each. I use the batteries from my Digital
camera when they will not power the camera any more. They
