Alan, If these are the old "Thompson Ice" they were made by Anvil. The new ones are not. I was told this by the Anvil people at the SLC show when I bought the special pair of Anvil. My Old Thompson were good for 13 years cutting a lot of deer hair. The new pair of Thompson's did not last anytime

I like the 'Fly of the Week' idea. I just have one thing to say. To incorporate the pics in the mail apparently makes them larger (in bytes) than the files themselves are to begin with. Tony: I have had these Thompsons since 1985 and they still cut great. They both have the red handles. One pair have the large finger loops that I have bent so that they sit on the tying table and you can pick them up easily. The other pair is like what a barber would use. Thank you, Alan Di Somm
