Off the top of my head the bitrate is 9Mbit, which is roughly 15 times higher than the average videoblogs bitrate. So approximately speaking, 1 minute of HD Sanyo footage will be the same file size as 15 minutes of the average 320x240 videoblog. Your best bet is almost certainly to downsize the

another option is it possible to ftp the files from old server to new? maybe Dreamhost support can do that for you? otherwise you'll have to download to local and then upload again (ugh!) if using ftp is an option, you can at least make this two simple (but possibly slow) folder copies

I have a Sanyo Xacti first generation, and the MPEG4 files compress quite nicely. I am looking at the HD1 as much for the zoon and (better) low light shooting than for its HD qualities. 100MB would make it "unuploadable" to many hosts and downright nasty to those who will accomodate such large

Yes. The thing to remember is: when moving an MT install or any dynamic website, it's NOT just about FTP-ing the files (which is easy), but about replicating the database, usernames, permissions and all that geeky stuff (which can be hard). You should look into MT's import/export options
