Just curious, what OS are you running on? I've actually found Miro to be very responsive not only on my intel based macbook, but also on my G4 / 667mhz tibook. It's like 7 years old. It plays videos every bit as good as VLC or QT. I do have some issue btw that there's NO throttling on
