Hmmm...I don't have this problem. When I connect the camera via USB and choose card reader from the menu on the camera itself it opens iPhoto automatically and tell me I have X-number of items to import (it also shows up as a volume on my desktop, but I ignore it). There's a checkbox that asks if

Yes, Tony Katz told me about this problem. Deleting the files off the Xacti drive when connected to a computer does not delete them -- they're still there (I think invisible.) You should only copy the files to your computer. Then delete them from the menu in XActi. This may apply only to the

I have seen that problem when switching back and forth between a mac and a PC. The files on my Xacti's SD card seem to be gone on the Mac - but when I check the card on my PC, there are greyed-out ghost files - that take up real space. So I delete those. It doesn't happen all the time... David
