I'm a Mac Noob so didn't know it wouldn't go away until after emptying
the waste-basket... :)
Regardless, I'll continue with the current method of dragging the
files using Finder and deleting the pictures through the camera itself.

have X-number of items to import (it also shows up as a volume on my

Xacti drive when connected to a computer does not delete them --
they're still there (I think invisible.) You should only copy the
files to your computer. Then delete them from the menu in XActi.

I have seen that problem when switching back and forth between a mac and a
PC. The files on my Xacti's SD card seem to be gone on the Mac - but when I
check the card on my PC, there are greyed-out ghost files - that take up
real space. So I delete those.
It doesn't happen all the time...
