I have to respectfully disagree about it becoming a stock video source

there are massive gaps in my abilities. But Ive had a decade long
fascination with realtime computer animation, from virtual pupeteering
to virtual bands that play along with the music, mixed with real live

I have a G4 with 2 G ram and an Intel mac also with 2 G ram. I can't
remember how fast my G4 is, as I rarely use it, but the Intel mac has a 2.16
Ghz processor (dual core of course). Anyhoo, it's more than fast enough for
any video I do, though admittedly I'm not really doing super long or super

and I use it every day for editing HD video. I love it. I would love
to have a new MacPro but I don't want to sacrifice portability and I

Ahh theres such a lovely performance boost between the G4 and these
Intel Dualcore CPU's so you should be pleased with how the new machine
performs :)
I dont think the extra graphics RAM will do much for you, would give
slightly better performance in a few things, eg Apple Motion, but
better CPU,
