Re: [videoblogging] What is the REAL future of videoblogging

2006-01-07 Thread Adam Quirk

dammit just email jonny goldsteinor visit his vloghe's got ideas about all this.making money and so forth.if you want to make a 'show' then make a fucking showdo what you're doingand have a fucking ball doing so
like most people do when they get into this gameit's a fucking blast to put your little videos up on the internetand fuck the naysayers about talking heads etc. or how videoblogging will never make moneyit's NOT IMPORTANT
do whatever the fuck you feel like doing, all the timethat is importantthis INternet is all about personal freedomespecially and MOST importantly posting whatever the fuck retarded 3 second videoclip you just shot of your lawn sprinkler.
it doesn't matterit doesn't matterit doesn't matternot everyone is here to impress peopleI am.but that's just me.and some other people are too.but not everyone in this space is here to change minds, or make ART, whatever the fucking hell that is.
videoblogging to me is about learning the mediumdistributing short videos in blog formregularlyor at least semi-regularlylike a blogand you, like your audience, and sometimes simultaneously, learn from each video, and from the progression of videos.
and all the criticism about what's goodand what's not good can come later.and it will, because when you put your video blog online, that is saying hello, these are some videos I've done, please comment on them, and sometimes people will give honest opinions that you won't enjoy, like, Hey, that was the most boring thing I've ever seen. thanks for wasting my time.
etc.etc.etc. ad infinitumbut i'll repeat this part cause it's the best, and I'm a self-referencing robot so I'm good at it:distributing short videos in blog form
regularly
or at least semi-regularly
like a blog
and you, like your audience, and sometimes simultaneously, learn from each video, and from the progression of videos.whatever,AQ

2006-01-06 Thread Ted Tagami

I believe that there is an opportunity for dozens of vloggers to be
financially successful with their projects in the near term. Those that
succeed are the ones that have a clear vision of what it is they which
to achieve and stay in dogged pursuit of it regardless of personal
style or format.

is the future of video blogging?

Is this going to be just a hobby and with the time cease to nothing
or
is this going to take off and reach out the mass audiences of the
world
and become the new media of tomorrow?

Thus far Vlogging still is within a small community, we all know
that...and main stream society is not [yet] in tune with this new
trend.

Now, we [all] have seen the news and witness that some vlogs such as
Rocketboom are taking off and maybe in the future will sniff some
profits...

OK, now...is Rocketboom the only pixel in the firmament of vlogging
taking off or are we going to see many others vlogs [successfully]
flourishing in the near future?

Is vlogging pushing the technology or is technology pushing vlogging?
