 geen screen lighting
or fondling please let me know... and pray to god the feds aren't
 listening...or if they are
 hopefully they're off the clock

[videoblogging] Green Screen Tips

2005-11-07 Thread Will
Is anyone doing any chroma keying using a green screen in your production? If
so - do you
have any advice on where to purchase an affordable green screen?

Also do you know of any good online tutorials or tips for lighting for chroma
keying?

I have found some sugar paper at my local stationers, works quite well, but i suppose it all depends on how big the green screen needs to be.paul knight (pjkproductions)On 7 Nov 2005, at 17:55, Will wrote: Is anyone doing any chroma keying using a green screen in your production?  If so - do you have any advice on where to purchase an "affordable" green screen? Other options can include the disposable blue-colored plastic tarps (for blue screen, although green is better for dv use) used for picnics, various types of construction paper, painting a wall (if you can), and semi-professional screens. You might want to check out:http://store.yahoo.com/cinemasupplies/chromkeyfab.htmlAs for tutorials and tips, Google can lead you to some really good ones ("greenscreen lighting", "chromakey", etc.). There's also Digital Video Hacks from O'Reilly (shameless plug, again).- joshOn Nov 7, 2005, at 10:03 AM, Paul Knight wrote: I have found some sugar paper at my local stationers, works quite well, but i suppose it all depends on how big the green screen needs to be.paul knight (pjkproductions)On 7 Nov 2005, at 17:55, Will wrote: Is anyone doing any chroma keying using a green screen in your production?  If so - do you have any advice on where to purchase an "affordable" green screen? I don't really know what you mean by affordable, but I have seen
a few on the web recently:

+ Ulead offer a blue screen for $14.99
  URL: http://www.ulead.com/vs/extra.htm

+ Serious Magic offer a green screen for $19.99

Oh, and if you buy the MediaSuite version of Pinnacle Studio you get
a green/blue screen included in the package. The latest version 10 is
around $120:

But, many suppliers are still selling off the old version 9
at around $50, for example

A green screen with free editing software :)
