Regardless of an details of you or this particular case, I think it should be pretty clear that your selling of domains here has annoyed some people. Theres no shortage of dearly held opinions here, youve walked into one of those minefields. Business and money often get a bit of a rough ride here, as they do elsewhere on the net. Some people have ideals about the net and what is happening with vlogging which doesnt really have much to do with profiting from laughable domain names that are about to expire anyway. Hell even some of the responses that you got that you thought were positive were probably people being sarcastic about your offers. I dont think you could reasonably have anticipated the response youd get here, giving you the benefit of any doubt you could quite feasibly have thought you were doing people a real favour. Sadly I think it turns out that this isnt the case and its probably just best to drop the whole thing, you offer has largely been thrown back in your face and it would be fair enough if you were as miffed about this as those whove been annoyed by your approach seem to be. Slander will occur if Digital Buddha takes up Vloglist's suggestion to call him and then speaks it. BUT THEN, Digital Buddha could claim that he was just voicing his OPINION of Vloglist as a pimp rather than denoting Vloglist as a pimp for the truth of the matter, which is a valid defense and then Vloglist would have no claim to defamation UNLESS Vloglist can prove that by being called a pimp by Digital Buddha somehow hurt Vloglist's 1) trade, business, or profession 2) portrayed Vloglist as unchaste (if Vloglist is in fact still a virgin- however in that case I'd suggest that Vloglist bite the bullet and thank Digital Buddha for suggesting that Vloglist is not on to becoming the 40 year old Virgin) 3) implied that Vloglist had some sort of disease 4) or that Vloglist was involved in some sort of criminal activity. As you can see this can go in favor either way depending on who can afford the legal fees of a Johnny Cochran-esque attorney. There was also a point to the above: people love to throw around the threat of defamation or slander especially in our free speech medium of vlogging/blogging, so it's good to know that it's really really hard to win in court because above all you have to prove that the statement was maliciously said as a fact- not opinion, that it was false, and that it was actually damaging (e.g., monetarily/emotionally) which can also be hard to prove. AND it's also good to know that it's such an ambiguous area of the law, so if you're not careful you could get bundled up in a shit load of legal fees.
