Hello Heidi,
Yes, we do send out VHS tapes for ILL use, as long as there are no
licensing agreements that prohibit it. First we check to see if it is
something that is out-of-print, and if so, we have the borrowing library
agree that their patron will use the item on-site. We've been
We circulate all types of Media via ILL and have been doing it for over 25
years. Very few problems. We don't circulate items that we have on Reserve or
are going to be used for classes that have been placed on hold.

Hi Rhonda,
I knew what you meant! We are considering sending VHS tapes, but haven't
in the past for fear of damage. But since the one in question hasn't
circulated in 5 yearsI don't think I'll have a bunch of people looking
for that one. Thanks for your input.

Our heavily used VHS copy of the Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet has gone
missing, and I want to replace it on DVD. I vaguely recall something about a
definitive collection being planned by Sam Nelson, son of Rick--did that ever
happen, does anyone know?
thanks, collectively wise ones!
Hi Heidi,
We originally did not circulate any visual media materials but a few years
back we decided to open our VHS collection to both out of the library
checkout to students and checkout via ILL and Link+.
Our VHS collection is not getting any younger and want to get as much out
of it before
