Well since it is an HBO production hard to tell. They ran it in January. I have not been keeping up as to if they have stopped releasing some titles on DVD, though they certainly do release a number of their docs on DVD. I thought someone from HBO lurked around here but you could try contacting

Audrey: Canada and the US have signed the Berne Convention. This obligates us to apply our own country's laws to any content. That means, one doesn't have to know what the law is elsewhere, one only has to uphold one's own country's laws. So, to answer your question, a US exemption applies
