The European-delivered 1968-on 1300 and 1500 beetles came standard with
front disk brakes; the USA models didnt get them until later. Im
considering converting my 1970s front stock drums to the closest
approximation of Euro stock disks that I can get. Several questions.

My recolection is tha there were *never* any beetles super or otherwize
that were imported with disk brakes.
Only Karman Ghia's and busses about the same time(1971/2 I'm thinking).
I have a conversion front conversion kit from Empi on the front of my 68
turbo and CB on the rear.
you listened to advice from that guy?

A number of years ago purchased a kit from John Connolly at aircooled.net for
my daughter's '74 Standard and was very pleased with the kit and the increase
in stopping power. He currently sells the ball joint kit for about $300.
