hi Keith, I have not experienced that. If you close Safari and go back and open tabs, and don't close any, just double tap on one you want, and see if that works. It could be that if you have closed a bunch, one by one, that it somehow thought it was still closing them? Not sure. Richard

Like Joshua, I also have my iPhone 8 set to never lock automatically. I abhor my device attempting to lock itself as it seems to do it at precisely the moment I want to use it for something. I figure if I'm not smart enough to know how to manually lock my phone, I probably shouldn't have one.

Not a GPS solution, but soething that might prove more accurate, an app called "right hear" Note the spelling of "hear", it is a bluetooth navigation app and, i think, you can get literal lables to attach to things you will want to find. Then you just point you phone in the right direction
