Hello,
I just upgraded to IOS 16.1 on my iPhone 8. Now when I receive a
notification, it just announces 1 new notification but doesn't read the
notification aloud. I have to flick to it and read it that way. How can I
get it to read the notification on the locked screen when it comes in?
I hope you will find Rita Howells helpful.

Thank you again. I knew most of that, but didn't know about the provided
method for accessing notifications, which answers one of my questions written
in another message. I Googled Rita Howells and saw some links that seem
interesting; I will read through them later when I have a moment.
Thank you, Chris, for sharing this. I appreciate knowing about this
alternative and will check it out.
Katrina

I don't know if you can Google Rita Howells' little tutorial or not. I put down
here, pretty much what she said.
1. To go to Home page, place finger at bottom of screen; flick up until you
hear a little pop.
2. To go to App Switcher, place finger at bottom of screen; flick up to second
pot.
Comma is Shift on 7.

Hi,
thanks for this. How do I get to the comma?
Max.

Scrub is two fingers fairly close together, zig to right, left, right again.
When I zig to the left, I zig a little on the slant downward and to the left.
You don't have to scrub far in any direction.

Hello,
The only thing I would add to these
Even though I can do those gestures, I am slow with them, and just got tired of
having to try them multiple times before they would work. So I just went to
settings and changed them to something else that would be easier and quicker.
On the iPhone, you can change gestures to something else

Hi Katriona, I just checked it out: go to settings/accessibility/touch/back tap. You will find two choices, a double backtap and a tripple. I chose the doubletap, on the back, for the home button and the tripple for the detection mode in the Measure app. While I was in "touch" in settings,
