Scrub is two fingers fairly close together, zig to right, left, right again. 
When I zig to the left, I zig a little on the slant downward and to the left. 
You don't have to scrub far in any direction.

It does take a bit of practice.  Your touch can't be completely light with no 
pressure at all, but just a very small amount of pressure.  To much pressure 
deffinately does not work.  I never did figure out how to do the scrub gesture.
