Dragging to iTunes with screen reader

2017-10-21 Thread Ryan Mann
I am developing an app and I want to put the .ipa file on my iPhone so I can test the app. When I did a Google search, I read that since iTunes 12.7 no longer has the apps section on the library side bar, you need to drag the file to the iPhone in iTunes. How do I do this with JAWS or NVDA?

Re: Question about articles rotor option

2017-10-02 Thread Ryan Mann
If somebody is designing a web site, there is an HTML tag that allows articles to be separate from other parts of the web site. What this means for you is if there is an article on a web site that does this, you can switch the rotor to articles then flick down to get directly to the article.

Re: Please join me in asking Apple to make rotor options consistent again and to fix the delete rotor bug which they say is not a bug

2017-09-29 Thread Ryan Mann
I don’t feel like this is attacking Apple. I am on a few different mailing lists and it now takes me longer to go through these messages. I’ve also accidently deleted a few messages because the rotor was set to Delete when it should have been set to Activate. Either Activate is the default

Interview with Seeing AI developer/developing IOS apps without using a Mac

2017-09-20 Thread Ryan Mann
I have been told that in an interview, the developer of the Seeing AI app said that he was able to develop the Seeing AI app using the JAWS screen reader. From what I understand, you need to have access to a Mac computer so you can use Xcode to convert the application into an executable that

Mastodon on IOS?

2017-09-12 Thread Ryan Mann
Mastodon is an interesting social network. It is not controlled by a single company and you can post up to 500 characters. Does anybody know of an accessible Mastodon IOS client for IOS? I've tried a few that I couldn't get to work with VoiceOver. On a couple of them I couldn't put in the

Do you have Windows installed under Bootcamp? If so, after you hear the startup chime, hold down the Option key. After about 10 seconds or so, hit Right or Left arrow. On my Macbook, Windows 10 is the default and I need to hit Right arrow one time for Mac OS. Sent from my iPhone > On Jun

I like the blindness apps that are available for IOS. BeSpecular and Be My Eyes are a couple examples. Money Reader is another example. It is really easy to use a Braille display with IOS. Just go into VoiceOver Settings, Braille then pair it. One thing that really annoys me about Android

There is no need for anti-virus programs on an iPhone. As long as you don't jail break your phone, you can only get apps from the App store and obviously Apple wouldn't let viruses into their app store. If you don't know what jail breaking is then you won't do it. Sent from my iPhone > On
