Raul, we can't do that with Verizon. The data is just shared between
all the devices. I mistyped the amount in my last message. It's $10
more each month for the 2 gig rather than the 1 gig of data, not $40.

The general consensus here seems to be keeping that unlimited data.
Why do you all consider it so important, if you may not be a heavy data
user?

Hello there. Let me introduce an opposite viewpoint to what some of the
other messages have said
Traci, If the finances are your concern, then I'd go for the shared
plan. I'd check to be sure there aren't any extra charges before you
do that though that might make it not worth sharing the plan.
As other's mention, once you go to the shared plan, you won't be able
to go to the unlimited

Verizon doesn't have unlimited data any more, hasn't for over a year. I
think you want Sprint for that.

Hi there. I don't know if Verizon does this, but at least with ATT and the
mobile data share plan, you can turn off the data when someone exceeds what
ever data you don't want them to go over. So if I have four phones on my plan
and 4 GB of data per month, I would split it as one gigabyte per

This was going to be my line of argument, but you done such a good job of
it, I'll just agree and acknowledge the sense of it. Punative charging on
excess is like
it.

The share plan is great for your cell carrier because you have a shared 1 GB
etc between all your devices. If you have teenagers in that plan, they use all
the data and when you need it, you find yourself buying another block of data.
Even if you go over by so much as a meg, you get charged
My understanding is that once you get in to those shared data plans, you can't
get out. I could very well be wrong but the folks I've asked about it from both
VZ ATT have told me that once you're in, you're in. I think the overall
question I'd ask myself is this. Is the money I'd save really
and can be more. They doi t in £ here of course, but
still employ the same mechanisms to bleed the unwary.
