Although I haven't tried this method, you could still delete and reinstall the app after you backed up the info to icloud. You do need to go through and turn on various settings, then check to make sure the backup has been completed. As I said, I've not deleted and reinstalled, but I hope that

Depending on how it is set up. When you open downcast, it should start downloading any subscriptions you have. About 30 seconds it should make a sound indicating that the podcast is being downloaded. After that just start swiping to the right and it should be there. Double tap on that and
