Hi! I don't have problems like that with my 6S Plus. It is unlocking all the time and the errors appear only if I don't put my finger to cover the whole sensor. Regarding the article mentioned in his thread, it is from 2013. with the actual 5S fingerprint sensor and

Kimmer, Place the finger you use for Touch ID on the home button. Press the home button but leave your finger there. In theory, the phone will unlock and you will be placed on your home screen or wherever you last left it. What you mentioned before about pressing the power/lock button while a

Yes, it does. What I was trying to say is that I have more luck with my print being recognized if I press the power button than if I press the home button. I hope that's clearer. On 2/4/16, Alan Paganelli wrote: > Ok, if my 5s is locked, I still need to press the

Ok, if my 5s is locked, I still need to press the power button but that's a quick press. When the phone opens then I need to touch the sensor to unlock my phone. Alternitivly I can use the on screen key pad to type in my 4 character pass word but why bother. Now if my finger is sticky or

I updated my ipad not long after I got it and the censor went away. Before that I could put my finger on the home button and it would put in the code, now I have to type it in. And I think my finger is clean, I'd not put a sticky finger on my devices, or I would hope I wouldn't, grin. Patti

I'm not quite sure I understand what your doing. All I need to do on my 5s when my phone is turned on is to place my index finger on the home button. No pressing it, no moving my finger around. I just hold my finger on the sensor and it only takes a second or so to read it. My index finger

So if your phone is locked and you place your finger on the home button, it unlocks without you having to press the home button or anything? Because I have to press either the home button or the button on the side to unlock the phone regardless of whether I use the fingerprint or enter the
