The device wasn’t showing up in iTunes at all. Tried different USB orts, cables
and even iPhones/iPads.
Turns out, this is a known issue with Windows 10.

Are you tabbing through the iTunes options and checking the radio button for
iPad? It’s not clear to me from your message what exactly you’ve tried.
