David, Yes it does bring focus, but also crashes VO. Of course pressing the router button should perform the action which is to take you to that location where the link points. Bringing up a menu would sort of defeat the purpose. If the link took you to an external site that would make sense,

I continue to experiment, but as of this writing, no maneuver, including the double-tap and hold pass-through option, is successful in activating a link to take me to a particular page number of a chapter. I am working within only one book, but from the comments on the list, I assume this problem

Although this is not exactly related to this specific issue, I have found that trying to activate links in books using iBooks, while using a Braille display results in VoiceOver crashes and the link is never activated. I would be curious if anyone has had any success with speech and/or Braille
