Both Braille input and output have three modes starting with iOS 8. There's

8-dot, since these files are all upper-case.

Set your braille display to 8-dot braille output with dots 2 3 6 space. Make
sure you are not in contracted braille mode. Now, you will be able to read the
file in any of the file viewing apps.

I am wondering how one can read .brf files using the iPhone and a
Braille display. These are not files from Bard, but are other files in
a .brf format. Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

I would love to see this implamented into voice dream reader! There are

The Victor Reader Stream will read .BRF files just fine. I don't
understand why the app couldn't be made to do it as well!

You will need a Braille display to read these files on your device. If you're

Basically, the upshot is that you can convert the files to pdf or epub and read
them with a Braille display only. No speech.

Yes, you are correct. The only way to read them without a Braille
display is by using an application which has a back translator like
Kurzweil on the PC or Louis for the Mac.

you first convert them to epub for importation into iBooks. How the heck do you
