Hi List,
Received an email both from Bispecular and Be My Eyes in the last few days
reminding me to take advantage of what they have to offer. Apparently both apps
are going strong (and free).
What struck me as amazing was this statement "Be My Eyes has grown to become
the largest global
Hi all,
I have an app on my phone which will soon stop working after iOS11.
It is called Time signal and works off wwv or one of those services
where you get a time announcement every minute and a tone to synchronise
your time with the service.
Does anyone know of a similar app that will
Oh Boy! My BAD!!! Yes, the name of the app I’m referring to is indeed “Ringtone
Maker Pro” but I will caution you that there is still that problem with what
seems the DRM copyright protection.

I now have both! I’ve been a big Bespecular fan for about a year now.
I downloaded the Be My Eyes app yesterday, and used it for the first time this
morning. Way Cool and very fast indeed!

Sieghard,
I think the Be My Eyes numbers are total people served since they've
started, rather than 14 helpers for each blind person. Whatever the
case, it is a ton! I have both on my phone and use them from time to
time. I heard a CSUN Blind Bargains podcast on Be My Eyes, and they
said that they
HI,
I have quite a lot of music I have on my hard drive that I have ripped
from CDs I have bought.
How do I use Itunes to copy that from the hard drive to my Iphone? I
looked at Itunes but do not see an option to search the hard drive for
music.
Thanks.

Out of curiosity, is this a big battery drain? Sounds kind of cool to have an
old fashion clock sound on a modern smart phone. Lol, I love stuff like that.

Thank you both,
Is there an alternative to this app? Something that will scan any
prescription.

Thanks for any help,

I have been using their Script Talk for years. The pharmacy puts a small RFID
chip on the bottle and a small handheld unit reads the information to you. All
information printed on the label is available on the chip.
There is no charge for either the reader or the chip on the bottle.
I can't answer that question as my battery is poor and drains very quickly
anyway. I unfortunately have to keep it plugged up most of the time.

It wasn't while I used it. I removed it from my phone because it just a one
time on the hour. It doesn't do the whole hour total, and it doesn't do the
half hours, so I went ahead and took it out and went back to other stuff. It's
a cool app. I like the idea of me able to choose which ours it

you can set it, to chime on the hour, quarter, and half.

Sieghard,
I'm pasting the steps from my previous post where I discussed the Office Lens
business card scanning steps that I took and then I'll follow those with a
change to one of them that I just did to get the information into my contacts.
First the original posted steps:

Hi Dan,
You don't "download" but "add" music to the iTunes library. It doesn't matter
where your music is, but keep in mind that once you add a file or folder with
music files to the music library in iTunes, the music will not longer play if
you later move the files or folder to a different
I believe it was on this list where someone mentioned an app called Time
Signal which apparently fed the audio from WWV.
I just checked the app store and found only one app called Time Signal;
however, the description said nothing about WWV audio. Also, a couple
of reviews mentioned the
I've been using this app for a while.
I have noticed no appreciable battery drain.

Thanks, I think I already took Office Lens off my iPhone, but maybe I'll give
it a try. Not a big priority of mine since mostly I enter contacts on my PC in
Outlook and then they automatically show up on my iPhone since I am syncing
with my Exchange business and exchange active sync personal
Dear Traci,
Please clarify what you mean. both Dropbox and OneDrive are fully
accessible and you can store audio files with these services and play
them on your iPhone. These are free and Apple has a music match
service for a yearly fee. Of course there are cloud-based streaming
services like
Have you tried signing in using your Microsoft id? I did and didn't
have this hassle.

Hi all, as a subject line says… I'm looking for an app where I can play music
stored in the cloud.
I'm seeing several choices on the App Store, however I thought I'd ask the
community if they have any recommendations.
As a little side question, is Google Drive accessible?
Thank you,
Traci
I agree completely. I enter my contact info into Outlook on my desktop PC and
sync it all to my iPhone using iTunes. It's worked for years and continues to
work nicely.

Oh, I didn't know you could play music directly from Dropbox or google drive.
I'll give that a try. Do you know if I can download the MP3 file to a device or
listen off line. My goal here is to avoid putting the large MP3 files on my
Mac, only on my 128gb touch.
Thank you,
Traci
