Hi Richard,
Thank you very much. I've tried as you've suggested several times but, if I
do that then I don't receive my assigned alert sounds when I do get a new
text or email at all.
Take care. Mike. Sent from my iBarstool. Go Dodgers!

I'm not sure what's going on with the contacts either, but I don't think I'm
seeing this. I'm curious, what app are we talking about? What is your default
contact list?
The App Switcher issue was in the report that AppleVis put out when IOS 16 was
released. I'm seeing it as well. I'd suggest
Hi All,
Using an SE2020 iPhone running iOS15.7. It seems like I've tried every
configuration bia the Message app and Notification Center app settings but,
would someone please tell me the following?
What I want is to get the alert sounds for text messages and emails but, I
don't want them
Well Mike, if you don’t mind reading a little more crap, , I think I know how
you need your settings set.
Open settings, notifications.
Find the Mail app.
Flick to Allow in notification Center, if that says selected, double tap and it
should no longer say selected.
Back out of the
OK,
Under Settings, Notifications, mail, find the customize notifications button.
There will be separate settings for each account if you have more than one
account.
You can assign a different sound for each account if you want, but you will
want to be sure that Alert, Sounds, and Badges

I've seen all these settings and thought I'd set them this way. I will double
check.
Thanks.

Hello all
How can I set my mail and contacts to not constantly ask me which list or
contact list to use? On my 6S andbefore the update I only told the phone to
sort into known and unknown. Now I get othr headings I do not want to have
to reset continually.
I continue to
I’m going to take a guess here. It is asking if you want to use the known or
unknown contacts, right? I’ve never seen it ask for anything other than the
default contacts, but I don’t have them sorted like that.
As to why you have to hear the name twice in the app switcher, only Apple
Ah, I know what you're talking about then. I've seen it to, but I haven't
gotten really annoyed with it yet though. It would be nice if it had another
option that said something like don't show me these messages anymore.

Yes, this is definitely a new Siri capability or maybe it requires iOS 16, but
it also works on my iPhone 11 and it is nice that it is finally possible to
actually restart the phone instead of having to completely turn it off and back
on.
You can also power your device off completely by telling
Hi Richard,
Hot damn, I think you naled it! I needed to have show as banner selected
when I didn't have allow in notification center selected. I thought the
banner setting was more a visual thing so I never selected it. Thank you
very very much!
Take care. Mike. Sent from my iBarstool.
hi,
I will be undertaking some travel in the next several months, and would like to
acquire a good battery backup solution for my MagSafe device.
I am seeking recommendations for this. Should MagSafe or wired battery back ups
be preferred? I understand MagSafe battery back ups, at least some of

I would like to be able to get rid of the Unknown Sender part in messages. I
know when a sender is unknown. I wouldn't mind, but it is hard to get rid of it
without the phone sending to send a report to Apple, which I do not intend to
do, say in the case of AT with a number not in my Contacts.
Not sure what exactly that means since all iPhones have been shaped more or
less the same with the exception of their size and the fact of very square or
slightly rounder edges.
There never has been a classic candy bar style iPhone which referred to older
cell phones which were quite narrow and
My first gen SE was very similar to my 4S iPhone. The difference was that the
power button was at the top right side and not at the top of the phone.
