Re: Question about Gmail?

2024-03-21 Thread Michael Irons
Hey Peggy, this is Mike from Oklahoma. Disregard my email about the blank message. It just came in a place that I didn’t expect it to be.What you might consider doing is deleting your Gmail account and reiterating it. That might solve your problem the other thing is to turn off your iPhone and turn it back on. Another thing you can do is reset your iPhone, by either if it’s the iPhone SE, it won’t do volume up volume down and hold down the power button until your phone doesn’t do anything. I don’t know about the iPhone without the home button. I know there is a way to reset it.Take care,Michael. Sent from my iPhoneOn Mar 21, 2024, at 8:33 PM, Peggy Kane wrote:Peggy Sent from my i phone☺️On Mar 21, 2024, at 9:29 PM, Richard Turner wrote:It really i personal preference. RE: Question: What is the VoiceOver Gesture to Change Apple Watch Faces, on the Fly?

2024-03-21 Thread Richard Turner
Hi Diane,
I'm not Mark, but going to the clock setting on the watch the first item is
swipe to switch watch face, which was off. Turning it on makes it possible to
change watch faces with a two finger swipe left or right.
Thank you.
I doubt I would have found it.

Hi Mark. What you need to do, go to settings on your watch, then go to Clock,
then it should be swipe over to where it says something about switch face
something on off switch it to be on it switch something face hold on let me see
if I can find it quickly Swipe to face and yours probably says off so put it on
and you’ll find that you’ll be able to go from face-to-face like you used to
doing Sent from Diane's awesome iPhone!

RE: seeking tutorial

2024-03-21 Thread Carolyn Arnold
Vicki, if you can find Rita Howel's tutorial on how to use phones without the
Home Button, if you are anything like I am, you'll never look back. I am not
sure where you would find it. Here is what I can tell you:

To open phone, place finger at the bottom of the phone, and you'll hear a
little bleep. Slide finger up until you hear one more bleep, and you will be at
your home page. Slide from bottom bleep to Home Page bleep and then to the next
one, which has taken you to App Switcher.

If you want Control Center, place finger at the very top of your screen; you'll
hear the little bleep. Slide finger down to the next Bleep, and you are at
Control Center, and one more, and you'll be at Notifications.

I never had any problem with it and would not want to go back to a Home Button
now.

Face ID really comes in handy especially when it comes to entering things like
passwords. I should say that using face ID allows you not to have to enter in
passwords with certain apps like banking or credit card apps. It is very nice
to just use faci ID and not have to worry about putting in passwords and user
names.

Apple keyboard simply do not have a delete key, but there is a way to do that
using one of the modifiers and the backspace key. Research your keyboard is
probably easiest done with pressing K with caps lock to put you in keep help
mode then then just try every key.

Re: seeking tutorial

2024-03-21 Thread Michael Feir
Hello Viki. Quite a lot of help is out ther regarding Face id. Jonathan
Mosen did a very good podcast demonstrating the process of setting it up
and using it. It would still be found at:
www.livingblindfully.com
Applevis also has lots of resources including at least one podcast episode
and likely much more on the subject. Go to:
www.applevis.com
and search for face id.
There's also my book. I did my best to describe how to hold the iPhone
while seting up and using Face ID. You'll find a link to my book in my
signature below.

seeking tutorial

2024-03-21 Thread Vicki W.
Hi,

I am switching from the original SE to either a 14 or 15. Since I have never
had to deal with face ID or a phone without a home key, does anyone have any
suggestions as to where I can get a tutorial for the new gestures and features
of either of those phones?

Also, I was told that one of the 15 models gives you the option of using face
ID or not. Is that true, and if so, which one?

Thank you.

Vicki
