I forgot to contact the developer regarding this. So far I haven't had to make any in-app purchases, so perhaps that was a situation of the app's description not having been updated since the purchases were made available for free, according to what another poster on this thread said. Wayne On

Just an FYI in case you did not know. You can do the three finger swipe in a box score to easily go between home and away team instead of tapping on the team’s buttons at the top. Vertical navigation also works great to quickly flick down most of a box score. In a baseball box score you can use

Another update: I have done some more tinkering with the Sports Scores and Alerts app and found where to set individual team alerts. I have deleted the other sports alert apps I had and am now using this one. I really like it a lot. Some things could be better, such as the navigation to the alert

Sports scores and alerts is great. The developer is fantastic as I have beta tested for him for VO improvements and the app works great for the most part. For alerts check out The Score as you can set alerts for any team or player and they to are great and looking to make any VO improvements.
