Siri works almost flawlessly to identify songs. The only reason Shazam was
apparently needed last evening was that was part of the requirement of the deal
to get a 4 month free trial of Apple Music.
I was surprised because I thought Apple had bought Shazam and incorporated it
into Siri, but
I don’t know if that is different here in Canada, but movies with audio

look to find something which has audio descriptions and there are all these new
movies which come out and which seem not to have audio

Hi Richard,
I often ask SIRI to identify a song that is playing and it does so correctly
almost every time, but I don’t have any extra apps installed, it should work
natively in SIRI.

I think he may have been referring to the Pandora app being somewhat difficult.
Again, I found it to be nice and simple when it was free, but after I upgraded
to premium, the app got all busy and harder to use. Anyway… My trial ends soon
enough so I’ll see if it goes back to the simple layout
If you are talking about the Shazam app; you just had to have it installed.
The first time I tried it last evening, it didn't work because I didn't have
the Shazam app installed.
I downloaded the app; then asked Siri what song is playing and it identified
the song and a redeem button came up
I found their app to be kind of hard to use on iOS. I got one of those 3-month
trials from a Groupon offer, but it ran out not too long ago. Apple Music and
Spotify are probably my choices I like best for accessibility right now.

Yes, I did the same thing when my phone was new. I couldn't figure out why
voice over wasn't working when Siri said it was on. It is not hard to

I'm just so glad to know about it, because a time or two, I've gotten it off

Hi Carolyn:
I find the two finger single tap very useful, especially when someone comes
into the room and interrupts me while I am reading something on my phone.
Kinda like hitting the control key to stop JAWS from speaking .
I haven't used the three finger double tap to turn off speech
That does make sense, Hollie. I just had no idea that speech was so
significant, had just thought it part of Voice Over.

Carolyn,
Hi,
I may have misunderstood your message. The 3 iPhones I have had replaced I did
not have to pay anything for the replacements under AppleCare.

I'm using version 11.19.0 and I do not get the results you do.

John,
Is Mac DVD Ripper Pro completely VoiceOver accessible? Or are there unlabelled
buttons. Is it free? Or is there a charge.
Can I find Mac DVD Ripper Pro in the Mac app store or should I go to a website.
Thank you,

Personally, I am very appreciative of the movies and TV series which I can now
get with Audio description. This was so limited just a few years back and I
would think it pretty involved to get the additional sound track for this
service.
My local movie theater now has AD for all movies and the

At one time, buying a new iPhone at the Apple Store or through the
major US carriers would automatically give you a year of Apple Care.
I'm not sure if this is true anymore, but I learned of the added
coverage when I had a small issue with my phone a few years ago. I

Hi,
I recommend it even if you never use it as if something goes wrong you will be

Netflix 11.19 is the latest update so anyone not on that version may want to

Make sure Audio Description is set to on in settings, and on your first Netflix
