RE: Scanning As *PDF File In Voice Dream Scanner?

2020-01-20 Thread Richard Turner
It produces a PDF with the image and accessible text.
He designed it to do the image overlay with the accessible text so visually it
shows the print document with the format and the text is accessible to screen
readers, however if there are columns, the accessible text isn’t guaranteed to
read correctly.

You can also tell SIRI "Take a video", this will open the Camera app and video
mode will already be selected, all you have to do is tap on "Record Video" near
the bottom in the middle or press the volume up button to start recording,
press it again to stop.

Then when you take a picture, it will start the video.

How do I make a video from my iPhone, please?

2020-01-20 Thread Carolyn
I went into Camera, thought I would go there, but could not
find how to make a video. I know it can be done, but haven't
the slightest idea how to do it. Thanks for any help.

Re: Scanning As *PDF File In Voice Dream Scanner?

2020-01-20 Thread Richard Turner
Yes.
Scan one page, tap on keep, assuming it was a good scan.
Scan page 2, and hit keep.
Then choose save as PDF and you will have the choice of where to save it, or to
send it.

Re: help with apple watch issue

2020-01-20 Thread 'Gary Robinson' via VIPhone

Hi simon,

Yes, I have come across this on my series 4. Whilst it may be a software
issue there are also a couple of other points to bear in mind.

Firstly if you have auto pause enabled on your workouts if the watch
thinks your heart rate has dropped below what it judges to be a work out
heart rate  it will auto pause the workout session, resuming once your
heart rate increases. So if you are fit or have a naturally low heart
rate you can find the watch pausing your walking workout (and resuming
it etc).

Unfortunately the watch doesn't yet have a method for setting your own
"workout" heart rate so it does get it wrong sometimes, try turning off
the auto pause function. Unfortunately this also means you probably
won't get the "It looks as if you are working out" auto workout start
prompt.

Re: Language Learning Apps

2020-01-20 Thread regina alvarado
I would think you would tap the one you think is correct. After that first
lesson the pics stop. I do remember seeing words that could have had pics by
them, and I just guessed at it. Also when you are going into a lesson there is
a tips item. Tap on that to get hints for the lesson. By the way, I admit I had
some previous understanding of Spanish so maybe I was ahead of the game. I
would also suggest sending complaints to developers. Duolingo is quite aware of
blind users, but perhaps they have not thought of totally blind users. I will
also add my email to others emails. However, I know these pesky pics disappear
after a certain number of lessons. I am much further along so I never get them
now.

RE: help with apple watch issue

2020-01-20 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
It could simply be the case that not every minute of your walk counts as 1
minute of “exercise”
You may want to call Apple Accessibility or do some Google searches to see if
that is the case, but in a similar way, if I ride my spin bike for 20 minutes
this counts as exercise, but it does not count towards my “Move” goal or at
least not entirely. I assume in order for an activity to be considered exercise
maybe a certain heart rate needs to be achieved? .

2020-01-20 Thread territek
I am not having any problems with Amazon Music on my iPhone 11 Pro. I have had
this phone for one month and just redownloaded the Amazon Music app, played
some songs, and all sounds great. Maybe those having the problem could try
uninstalling/deleting the app and redownloading/installing it again. It would
be nice if this solved the issue for everyone.

Hi List,

I noticed a couple of Amazon Music app version updates back that the volume
coming out of my iPhone 8 speakers was significantly reduced whenever launching
Amazon Music. The volume is reduced almost to the point where my iPhone is
unusable and is across the board until I force close Amazon Music using the App
Switcher. Turning the volume up doesn't correct the problem. When I plug in my
wired earpods, the volume coming through them is fine in Amazon Music but
reverts to being too low when I unplug the earpods. Is anyone else experiencing
this issue? I plan to write Amazon about this but wanted to first see if others
are also experiencing this.

Thanks in advance.

2020-01-20 Thread Lois Butterfield
Yes, I am having the same problem. It seems to be just coming through the ear
piece, as if on a phone call.

Thanks for bringing it up. I always forget to mention it when I try to use
amazon music.

Take care,

Do you find any issues with any other audio programs / apps other than amazon
music?

I find the amazon music app rather sluggish.

It’s been like this since at least iOS 12.

When i open the app, it seems to slow down, when i swipe. Also, it does the
same to all the other apps on my iPhone 8, until i close amazon music in my app
switcher.

Not the same situation as yours, but I sometimes have volume problems when I

help with apple watch issue

2020-01-20 Thread Simon A Fogarty
Morning all,

I have a question re workouts on an apple watch Series 4,

I use my apple watch workout daily,
The main work out is the outdoor walk

What I'm finding is that what I see in the activity report which is kilojoules
 (movement), exercise (minutes moving),
And standing,

I've noticed over the passed few months that the exercise or movement time
recording doesn't meet with what the outdoor walk in this case workout report.

Tonight I walked for 35 minutes on the workout,
After walking 25 minutes to work this morning and again on my walk home so
approx. 1.5 hours of walking,

Yet my exercise activity app on the watch records only 16 minutes,

I want to know if anyone else has noticed such a thing and if so what they did?

Note this is an apple watch sport series 4,
Running Watch OS 6.1.1

And sincs to my iphone 11 pro max running the latest Ios version.
Not that it should matter but all are space grey.

Cheers for any information people might be able to assist with.

Cheers,

Simon F
