Thanks to a Whatsapp Book group I'm in, someone recommended this little app
(it's free), called "BookPlayer" which not only plays MP3, but M4B files. Both
zipped, and individually. It keems your place, and has other interesting
functions. https://apps.apple.com/app/id1138219998

I really like VDR for audio content. I have loaded my one terabyte
iPhone with a lot of audio dramas, mostly graphic audio with some BBC
and various other things like CBSRMT thrown in for good measure. My
phone is actually a bit full at the moment, but once I finish reading
some stuff, it will
Hi Adam,
I would recommend you continue to use Voice Dream Reader to read mp3 books.
Open and mp3 title in your Voice Dream library. At the very bottom of the
screen is a position bar indicating your location in the book. Just above that
position bar are 3 buttons: 1. Headings, bookmarks,
Lana. VDR works just fine with mp3 books. I can move back by either
heading which is track, by 60, 30, and 15 second increments. Whatever
I want. The really cool thing, is when I set what navigation I want
to move by, I can use the forward or back commands on my bluetooth
speakers and headsets
Adam. When you are reading a book, check your navigation. I can move
back by either heading which is by track, by 60 seconds, 30 seconds,
or 15 seconds. It is great.

It must work very differently for Mp3 than Faisy, , because much smaller

Hi all,

Problem is if you miss something in a book it is hard to move back a
small amount rather than a percentage.
Other apps will let you move in 30 second increments from the control

With VDR you can only move next track.

Sieghard,
I will try your shortcut idea when I find enough time to deal with it. I

It's a very valid question, but if you don't mind sharing your reason why you
would want a keyboard which has to be plugged in rather than a Bluetooth
keyboard which most people find much more convenient.

I know that I actually started the Espeak-NG app before I went into the
settings. After I started the app, I think I had to hit a button that said
start testing.

I am using Espeak as we speak and I am not noticing pauses between words. I am
using an iPhone XR. It would be interesting to know if it works differently on
older phones.

Hi Rena,
The keyboard is just a standard PC keyboard with a normal USB A type
plug. What you do need to make it work with your Iphone or Ipad is what
Apple call a USB camera adaptor kit. It is basically a small flattish
piece of plastic with a short stubby lead coming out of one side

I have always normally used MFI certified cables just for the one simple reason
that Apples cables are much more expensive.
Now most of these cables are good, but can range in quality. So I tend to try
to stay with a brand that has a good reputation. I currently use Anker brand
cables.
Hello,
I heard about some keyboards that instead of being Bluetooth, have a cable
to connect to the iPhone. Does anyone know anything about it?

You're going to need test flight installed on your phone before
installing the E-speak beta. If you don't have test flight you'll be
taken to the app store to get it where you can join the beta test for
this app. The easiest way to do this is to open the link I'll include in

Oh
I'll include the link to what I'm wanting to buy so you can take a look

experience with chargers and cables containing the MFI certification?
The price on these is really good, but much cheaper than anything you
