Well, I changed my Apple TV's TTS to my beloved Samantha and, while doing so
greatly reduced the degree of the drop-outs, the issue remains.
However, I discovered a couple of things that lead me to believe that the
problem is not VoiceOver.
It seemed to me that the app acted differently after the trial period ended. I
think after the trial period ends it begins to learn your preferences, because
when I entered the Games tab the 49er game would be the first choice. As I said

You can still get 5 minutes for free with Aira, but as a non--paying user you

know SiriusXM carries the radio feeds but the NFL app does support these as
well, so they should work and the NFL app should be accessible. Plus the NFL
app supports more than just radio feeds, such as archived games

In short, no.
SiriusXM is still the most reliable way to get NFL
The good thing about USPC is that I can charge my phone from low 20's to around
80% in about 45 minutes. That is not a deal breaker, but it is nice to have
that benefit.
