I haven't done this often, but I have had a lot of luck with Seeing AI. I scanned my Capital One debit card the other day, and I had no problem getting all of the information off of the card.

In many cases I find that if you try a few times with a small time interval of 30 or 1 minute in between you do get through, but if you need help now and not 1 minute from now you might be out of luck. Hey Mich, one could probably go crazy testing out the number of OCR apps available. For reading all required information on banking and credit cards, i have found the very best OCR Program to be Voice OCR. Most OCR I have tried can't read the embossed numbers on the cards; Voice OCR has failed me only on one card and I can't so far get entry to Aira as an impoverished non-paying member.
