On the subject of audio description, I really like that a huge number
of the content on the Disney + app has audio description. I just wish
that the volume of the movies themselves were louder. Also, on the
free app Tubi, there is now an audio description category. That is
very cool.

Hello All,
Okay, as it turns out, only the first episode of Star Trek, Picard, has all of
the audio, when AD is enabled, incorrectly shunted to the left speaker.
Subsequent episodes and other AD enabled content plays all of the audio,
including the AD track, in stereo., as expected.
For those
If you go to the filters in Netflix where you can select the classification of
movies one of the choices is audio description and that will bring up every

Hello Jody, et al,
Okay, I just started playing the first episode of Star Trek, Picard, in the
Paramount app on my iPad and when AD is enabled, all of the audio plays through
the left earpod, only.
Is there a fix for this?
Why must these things be so difficult?

I am not sure where you find audio descriptions everywhere. A couple of weeks
ago I looked through the top 10 movies on Netflix and I think out of them 1 or
2 had audio descriptions and some of them were brand new 2023 releases.
Captions for the hearing impaired exist on literally everything
I Lyssin to Picard on the Paramount Plus app on my iPhone. The audio
description is available. Do you have to turn it on in every episode in the
upper right hand corner of the screen.

I guess what I meant, was if there are accessibility issues with the app,
couldn’t you just access the same content via the TV app bypassing the
provider's own app?

To be clear, I was responding to the app accessibility aspect of the question.
It's funny. For so long all we wanted was more audio description. Now that it's
everywhere, I find myself less and less interested in watching TV or even the
movies.

Hi Cristóbal,
The short answer is that subscribing to Paramount Plus, independently of Apple
and subscribing to Paramount Plus through Apple is not the same.
Based on all the articles I've read, I have decided to subscribe directly to
Paramount; I will still be able to view the content on
yes.

Hello, my friend.
Yes, I use the image and camera description features on both my Apple and
Samsung devices.
I had forgotten about such features when I posted.
Still, I am dismayed that AD is not yet a standard option for all series being
produced, these days.

Haven't use it in a long time, but can't you also just access Paramount Plus

Mark, you write:
I will not be impress by this so-called new AI generation until it, AI that is,

If that happens it would of course be absolutely amazing, but not to be

I listened to Picard by getting the mp3 files from audiovault.net since having
