RE: Mark on the Aftershock (Shock) Open Run Pro and Open Fit Bluetooth Headphones for iPhone

2024-02-07 Thread M. Taylor
Mary,

On your iPhone, if you type in Aftershock, in the search field of the App
Store, you will see the app used to configure both the Open Run and Open Fit
models.

Although every function of the app is VoiceOver accessible, some of the button
labels are a little bit weird even though they do make sense.

The primary reason you will use the app is to configure the sound profile,
(music, Vocal, etc.), update the firmware, and enable or disable multipoint
functionality. Be patient with the app and with yourself.

I just looked for an app in the App Store called shock as spelled in a message.
I didn’t find anything useful. I did find something that I thought might be it,
because it was spelled SHOKZ which is how I remember this having been spelled.
But when I tapped on that, I got some app that was called speaker connect And
gave me a three day trial with a subscription every month after that. I’m quite
sure that’s not what I want. Can anybody give me a hint as to just what I need
to search onto actually find this app. Thanks.

You can also change the equalizer by pressing and holding both the volume up
and down button at the same time until the change is announced.
Be sure to keep the box it came in as well as a copy of your receipt. I too

Player app for multiple files?

2024-02-07 Thread Goshawk On Horseback
Hello all, does anyone know of any player apps that can play a folder of audio
files, rather than just one individual file please?
I have recently downloaded a good load of my sendspace audio files onto my
iPhone, but especially when I am trying to play the stuff ripped from CDs,
which are in their individual tracks, it is a real pain in the backside, having
to select and play each individual file, rather than the whole thing just
playing, hope that makes sense. The majority of the audio is in standard MP3,
but if the app could also be capable of playing .flac files as well, that would
be really convenient, and if by probably a bit of a longshot, it could play
video files as well, that would be super convenient, but I realise I might be
asking a bit much on that score, and it is only one of the folders, that has a
bit of a mix of audio and video files in it.

Simon, the March Merman.

RE: Purchasing audiobooks in the Audible app on my iPhone is inconsistent

2024-02-07 Thread Cristóbal Muñoz
I generally buy on the website instead of the app for this reason. I always try
to score a Kindle Unlimited promo sub to make the Kindle version free wherever
possible to only pay at the discounted price on Audible.
That and I use the Library extension
that'll let you know if the title you're looking for is already available in
the library systems you're a member of

Hi Mary,

I almost always prefer to purchase via the Amazon primary site because the
Audible version is much less expensive when you also purchase the Kindel
version, at the same time.

I recently purchased a Kendle with Whisper sync title for a total of $11 while
purchasing the Audible title, only, would have cost $22.

My advice? Always check for Whisper sync and, if available, buy the Kindle
version with audible narration.

If you don’t see the option to buy with cash, as head out or though has said,
make sure you updated your app. As for it being easier to purchase with a
credit, sure it’s easier. It’s also stupid if the cash price is less than what
you paid for the credit. If you’re willing to trade efficiency for cash, OK.
I’m not. If they didn’t have the option, I would just do all my cash purchases
online. On the website on my computer. However, since this option is available,
I expect it to work all of the time, not just when it feels like it.

Nothing. So I went to the website and bought it there. Has anyone

I do the same thing. Don't forget about the monthly sales. You can
get some really good deals. I got the bookThe Three Musketeers for
$1.80. When I save up some money, I'm going back to $230 per year for
24 credits all at once. That plan has the best deals on purchasing
extra credits.

Re: Purchasing audiobooks in the Audible app on my iPhone is inconsistent

2024-02-07 Thread lenron brown
If the book is less than the price of a credit I will normally buy the
book. Can't waste credits on cheap books.

Re: Purchasing audiobooks in the Audible app on my iPhone is inconsistent

2024-02-07 Thread Mary Otten
I am on a yearly credit plan that of course I buy through Audible directly. So
the credits are each worth something less than $11. I figured it out and I
don’t remember exactly. So I always look to see about whispersync, but often
it’s cheaper to use a credit or maybe I’ll find it on bookshare or whatever.

Re: Purchasing audiobooks in the Audible app on my iPhone is inconsistent

2024-02-07 Thread Joshua Hendrickson
If you purchase audible credits from your phone, they are more
expensive, then from the audible website.
