When adding steps, you can change the date and time, but it looks like changing the date is not currently accessible.I am not sure what I did, but I did get it to change to April 10th.  So I know that it is possible. It looks like everything is accessible except for changing the date.I would recommend reporting to Apple Accessibility.ChrisOn Apr 13, 2024, at 7:00 PM, h.begum99 via VIPhone wrote:Hi, Before the new update I could add steps that I may have completed when my iPhone was charging or something and I could add the steps even a couple of days later but you seem not to be able to do this anymore as you can’t change the date, is this correct or can you still add the extra steps the next day? Thanks, Husna

Health app

2024-04-13 Thread h.begum99 via VIPhone
Hi,

Before the new update I could add steps that I may have completed when my
iPhone was charging or something and I could add the steps even a couple of
days later but you seem not to be able to do this anymore as you can't
change the date, is this correct or can you still add the extra steps the
next day?

Thanks, Husna

I only used it out of curiosity a few times for writing and I found the exact
opposite. Here is one example, my request for ChatGPT was:

Write me a 500 word essay about the Brother Grimm

And Below is what I got and it's in my opinion perfectly written and what is
more, it's all perfectly correct since I grew up in a town in Germany where the
Brothers Grimm lived for 7 years as children and in which area many of the
fairytales are taking place and I know that the facts mentioned are true:

The Brothers Grimm were two German brothers who collected and published
folklore in the 19th century. They are widely regarded as the

founders of the modern study of folklore and the creators of some of the most
popular fairy tales in the world. Here is a brief essay about their life and
work.

The Brothers Grimm, Jacob and Wilhelm, were born in 1785 and 1786,
respectively, in Hanau, Germany. They came from a large and poor family, and
their father died when they were young. They both studied law at the University
of Marburg, where they developed an interest in German literature and history.
They were influenced by the Romantic movement, which valued the folk traditions
and culture of the common people. They also befriended other scholars and
writers, such as Clemens Brentano and Ludwig Achim von Arnim, who shared their
passion for collecting folktales.

The Brothers Grimm began their project of collecting and publishing folktales
in 1806, when they met a peasant woman who told them several stories. They soon
realized that these stories were part of a rich and diverse oral tradition that
was in danger of being lost. They decided to preserve these stories for
posterity and to demonstrate the beauty and wisdom of the German folk spirit.
They traveled around the country, interviewing storytellers, mostly women and
children, and recording their tales. They also consulted books, manuscripts,
and other sources of folk literature. They applied a rigorous methodology to
their work, comparing different versions of the same tale, analyzing the motifs
and themes, and tracing the origins and influences of the stories.

The first volume of their collection, titled Children's and Household Tales
(Kinder- und Hausmärchen), was published in 1812. It contained 86 stories, such
as "The Frog King", "Hansel and Gretel", "Little Red Riding Hood", "Rapunzel",
and "Snow White". The collection was well received by the public and the
critics, who praised the simplicity, originality, and charm of the tales. The
Brothers Grimm continued to revise and expand their collection, adding more
stories, annotations, and illustrations. By the seventh and final edition,
published in 1857, the collection had grown to 211 stories, including
"Cinderella", "The Sleeping Beauty", "Rumpelstiltskin", and "The Golden Goose".

The Brothers Grimm also worked on other scholarly and literary projects, such
as the German Legends (Deutsche Sagen), a collection of historical and mythical
tales; the German Mythology (Deutsche Mythologie), a comprehensive study of the
Germanic and Scandinavian myths and beliefs; and the German Dictionary
(Deutsches Wörterbuch), a monumental work of lexicography that aimed to
document the history and usage of the German language. The Brothers Grimm also
held various academic and political positions, and were involved in the
movements for German nationalism and unification. They died in 1863 and 1859,
respectively,

leaving behind a legacy of immense cultural and scientific significance.

The Brothers Grimm are widely recognized as the pioneers of the modern
discipline of folklore, as they established the methods and principles for
collecting, editing, and analyzing folktales. They also influenced many other
folklorists, such as Charles Perrault, Hans Christian Andersen, and Joseph
Jacobs, who followed their example and contributed to the global treasury of
folk literature. The Brothers Grimm also enriched the world of literature and
art, as their fairy tales inspired countless adaptations, retellings, and
interpretations by various authors, artists, and filmmakers. Their fairy tales
have become part of the universal imagination and have shaped the values and
dreams of generations of children and adults. The Brothers Grimm are truly the
masters of the magic of storytelling.

One of the best I have found when using with VoiceOver on an iPhone is Chat AI
- Ask Everything
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/chat-ai-ask-everything/id6479610341

It is free, and relatively easy to use. You could ask about writing without
asking it to write anything for you. I suggest giving it a spin and see how it
goes. I also use another free app, Perplexity, but Perplexity has a much more
cluttered screen.

RE: Using Chat GPT, and other Apss

2024-04-13 Thread leobado1982
Hello. I've been using AI to jog my mind, my memory, brush up my knowledge, and
enhance my cognitive processes since day 1 in at the end of 2022. I'm also
paying a subscription for Copilot pro to use this AI through multiple AI
interfaces, including Microsoft 365 desktop apps. However, you can start by
using a free account on any AI you want although I would suggest Copilot,
ChatGPT, or Gemini. AI is exactly like a screen reader, you don't know what you
can do with it until you use it to do what you intended to do in the first
place. You're the person behind the wheels. I'm also in college, and currently
writing my thesis, and These AI's can help you to boost your writing skills. As
for stylistic issues, you should find your own distinctive voice, and one of
these AI's can help you to clarify any doubt you have with regard to
organization, structure, word choice, terminology, etc. For instance, if you
want to learn how to write an academic paper, one of my first questions would
be, "As for academic papers, are there different types or just one type?" Then
ask how it is structure, what do every single part of the structure is made
for, how to write an effective topic sentence, and so on and so forth. It can
give you even examples of notorious academic papers that have been written
using a particular type, e.g., argumentative.
For the iPhone, Copilot is the best option because you can use even GPT 4 turbo
for free and the voice response is real good.

Cheers,

Hello everyone,

First of all, please know that I am not trying to start anything, with
the questions that I am about to ask. I honestly want to understand how
these things can be of help to me. But, not do all of the work for me.

I am curious, does anyone here use Chat GPT? Or, Microsoft Co-Pilot?

Not sure I spelled that last one correctly.

If anyone here does use these Apps, or any others I might not be aware
of, how accessible are they?

Also, what might you use them for?

I am currently attending a local community college. My goal is to
hopefully get my Masters degree. I am a long way off from this though,
and life could go in a totally different direction. I am also an older
student. I don't even know if I will ever have a career.

Anyway, one thing I would like to use Chat GPT for, is to get help with
my writing. I never really learned how to write papers in high school. I
feel so behind in this area. I am told all the time that I need to kind
of learn to BS my way through stuff.

However, I am not at all good with that sort of thing.

Please understand, I do not want to cheat! Or, plagiarize anything. I
really just want to use AI to help me with this huge struggle. I want
help with structure, and all that. But, I want to make the paper my own.
And, make changes where necessary.

However, I also want to make use of these Apps, in other ways as well,
if this can be beneficial for me. I just don't know enough, to know what
I might be missing out on. I know we do have to be careful, when using
any sort of AI. And, we need to be smart about what we do. I just think
though that all of this stuff can really benefit us in a lot of ways.

Thank you to anyone who has read this. Any thoughts, or advice will be
very much appreciated.

Terri

2024-04-13 Thread Tali Sarnetzky
Hi Terri.
First, congrats on your studies.
I think you will find Chat GPT helpful with research. You can type
questions and get quite accurate results.
I found that it is pretty good with describing images, although if I run an
image through it a second and third time, i might get some different
results. Sometimes it adds details, sometimes it seems to be describing a
whole different picture.
The best way to master academic writing is to practice it and get feedback.
In every school these days, there are writing centers and you should be
able to get some feedback from teaching assistants. It's not as hard as you
think. You just need to get used to it.
If I can help with that, please, feel free to message me privately.

Oh my goodness, I use Chat-GPT literally on a daily basis, and it has changed
everything for me. First thing, I wouldn’t use it for help with writing. It’s
honestly pretty awful at it. It’s OK for ideas and maybe reorganizing things a

Oh my goodness, I use Chat-GPT literally on a daily basis, and it has changed

First thing, I wouldn’t use it for help with writing. It’s honestly pretty
awful at it. It’s OK for ideas and maybe reorganizing things a bit, but don’t
just have it write a large bit of text. It might sound smart but it’s so
predictable and bland.

But there’s so much more it can help with.

I actually have Chat-GPT Plus, that I pay $20 a month for.

First thing, I have it describe images. I know Be My AI can do that, but I
mostly work on my computer and don’t want to put an image on my phone every
time I want a description.

Chat-GPT does an awesome job though.

Next thing, I’m a bookkeeper and often have scanned receipts from clients. I
used to have to OCR them, but yesterday I just tried uploading the receipt to
Chat-GPT and asked it what it was for. It told me exactly what was on the
receipt, the discounts applied, the total, tax, etc. I even asked for more
information on each item because I hadn’t heard of them, and it proceeded to
give me a detailed background for each one.

I’ve had it search through PDFs for me to find information if I didn’t want to
try to look through it myself.

The possibilities are literally endless. The thing it’s weakest at is writing,
yet that’s what most people seem to use it for. But it’s capabilities are
insane.

I haven’t used the iPhone app, just the web interface on the computer, so can’t
speak to the accessibility.
