Just Purchased HomeKit Compatible Smart Lightbuls, They Work Perfectly

Hello All,

A couple of weeks ago I remember seeing a thread about getting smart
lightbulbs to work on iPhone, or so I thought.

Anyway, yesterday, I was in my local Best Buy store and picked up a 2-pack
of HomeKit  compatible bulbs.  I just opened the box and set one bulb up in
a bedroom.  Man!  What fun!  

First, I did not need to download any third-party app, in order to add the
bulb to HomeKit.  It just worked right out of the box using the normal
method of adding an accessory to the Kit.

Second, not only can I have Siri turn on / off the bulb, but I can have Siri
set the brightness and even the color of the bulb.  

So, for example, I can say to Siri:  "Turn on the light," "set bulb 1
brightness to 66%," "set bulb 1 to dark blue," etc.  

Anyway, the product is listed as:  LIFX - E26 Edison Screw (2-Pack) - Color.

I paid $44 for the 2-pack.

Re: an email folder question

I do not know of a way to do this on an iPhone. Only on a computer for accounts 
that either use iMap or Exchange,  then they show up on the iPhone.

an email folder question

I have 3 email accounts on my phone.  I'd like to add a folder to one of the
accounts for messages I'd like to save, so I don't accidentally delete them.
Is there a way to do this?

difficult for me to work with. Having a weather channel app that is accessible 
is a matter of life and death for me. I happen to be in Norman Oklahoma, where 
we get lots of storms, tornado watches, and occasionally a tornado warning.

Re: The weather channel app

I went ahead and got the Weatherology app. I was able to get alerts and 
notifications on the weather channel app, but the rest of it was pretty 
difficult for me to work with. Having a weather channel app that is accessible 
is a matter of life and death for me. I happen to be in Norman Oklahoma, where 
we get lots of storms, tornado watches, and occasionally a tornado warning.

Janet, I don't know about the weather channel app.  But, weatherology is a free 
very accessible app.  There's even a voice that will read the weather forecast 
to you.  It's available in the apple app store.

You’d be better off to go with the iPhone 15 that way it’ll be new all the way and your apps will have an easier time of updating and all. Of course you could choose whichever size you want for example I got the size phone that fits in my pocket.
