Subject: words with friends questions.

Hello all.,
I've just installed words with friends, but I don't know how to play this
game.

Please does anyone know how to make new words?
I also don't know how to read chat messages I can type and send message to
an oponent, but Voiceover doesn't read it back. All that Voiceover reads is
just the time when a message was sent, but it doesn't read the message
itself.

Is there any solution for that?
Thanks a lot in advance.
With regards
Maria

Re: Forwarding a text?

I put my rotor on characters and went counter clockwise and I got words.

-Original Message-

Subject: RE: Forwarding a text?

Hi Chassity,

You have to be inside a message. By default the rotor should be on Actions
and you can swipe down or up because More and Activate Item are the only 2
choices.
If your rotor is on Characters, turn the rotor counter clockwise and you'll
get to Actions.

Once you hear More then double tap and the message you were on will be
automatically selected. You can double tap on other messages in the thread
and select them and then at the bottom of the screen you will find Delete
on the left and Forward on the right.

You can forward to another mobile number, but you can also type in
somebody's email. I just tried this by forwarding a message to my own email
and it arrived instantly showing my mobile number @msg.koodoMobile.com as
the Sender because Koodo is my provider so just as I can email a text
message by sending it to my mobile number @msg.KoodoMobile.com I can do it
in reverse.
Most carriers have an address like @msg.telus.net or @msg.KoodoMobile.com
and if you know somebody's provider you can send text messages to that
person for free from your email.

Regards,
Sieghard

How to restore your iPhone as a new device

2013-11-30 Thread Chasity Jackson
Hello. I was wondering how I go about restoring my iPhone as a new device.
After visiting the Apple store today, they have determined that there must be a
deep seeded issue within the operating system that makes voiceover stop working
from time to time. Another problem I am having with my device is that it
prompts me for my iCloud pass word or my apple ID pass word every other day.
When I enter in what I know for sure is the correct pass word, it says it is
not correct and prompts me to reset it.

Has anyone had either of these issues? If so, what did you need to do about it?
If you needed to do a full system restore to reset it back as though you just
got it from the factory, what tips and tricks can you give me on how to do that
as successfully as possible? If you tried something different to stop the
occasional voiceover malfunction and the prompt for your pass word every other
day, please let me know that too. Thank you. Any help would be appreciated.

I was simply responding to the topic at hand, what's wrong with that? And, as
it stands on this particular incident, I happened to be correct. So, now that
he has responded further when he responded to my reply, perhaps he can get more
help with the issue at hand. The real question is, if you do not want this to
continue on list, why are you replying to it further? I do not see it as an
argument, simply a reply from my perspective. I am responding to a discussion,
really no reason to personalize it.

 Subject: Skype on iOS7

 Hi,

I updated my phone and iPad to iOS7. I am logged in to skype on both devices
with the same account but keeps kicking me out of one if im logged into both
 devices at the same time.
It worked perfectly well on iOS6, anybody encounter the same problem?

 Cheers

paid for my upgrade, but whenever I go to like a status, it prompts me two of
gray before I can like The status, which I have obviously already done.

Having trouble with apps Updating

2013-09-07 Thread Chasity Jackson
My apps have suddenly started having trouble updating. When I go to the app
store and whether I select update all, or whether I try to update them
individually, they do not install. When I go back out of the folder, it lists
the name of the folder where I have the apps. And says Seven new items, 0%. I
have tried turning data on and off and I have tried turning Wi-Fi on and off.
I have tried closing the App Store, I have tried powering the phone on and off.
What else can I do to get the apps going again? So they can update? Any help
would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Questions about Downcast

2013-07-06 Thread Chasity Jackson
Hi. I have some questions about downcast. If I have not opened that app in
about a month or more, and I do not want every single episode of every single
podcast I am subscribed to to download, how can I stop that right away? When I
open the app, things automatically start to download. What if I just want the
newest episode of each podcast to download, or what if I don't want anything to
download at all and I just want to choose which podcasts I want to catch up on
and which episodes I want to download after not opening the app in a while?
Thanks.

Reference for reading commands

2013-07-06 Thread Chasity Jackson
Hello. I do not do enough reading on my iPhone frequently enough to remember
all the reading commands. I know that swiping two fingers downward will read
the page and tapping the screen will stop the reading. But I am uncertain of
the other commands. Is there a page that I can book mark to reference the
commands when I need to do so, so I do not keep asking for them from time to
time?
Thanks.

Questions about several topics

2013-07-05 Thread Chasity Jackson
In an effort to consolidate my message, I have chosen to send one message with
several questions that I have, rather then to send multiple messages asking one
question and each message. I wanted to know, how to select text? Also, how do
you copy and paste the text into another document? Concerning mail, I have
just set up my email to come to my iPhone, as of today. What I would like to
know is, if I receive a message, that I would like to have on my computer as
well, in my email client, if it comes to my phone, how do I ensure that. I have
a copy of it on my computer as well? Would I have to forward it to myself? Or
is there another way to do that? Thanks.

Adding music to the iPhone

2013-04-19 Thread Chasity Jackson
I know this seems very simple, and I've had an iPhone for almost a year now. I
should have learned how to do it long before now. But how do you add music to
the iPhone? Not music you want to buy from iTunes, but music that is already in
your collection on your computer. Someone has added some on my phone, and it is
difficult to navigate through it. Would like some tips on that as well please.

A blind person had someone create a DOS interpreter for iOS. You can find
the games in the Apple App Store.

For one letter answers, just press the letter and the game automatically
goes to the next screen. For typed answers, activate the return button in
the lower right corner of the keyboard after you have typed your entry. To
spin the wheel, activate the return button.

Has anyone used the Dish Network App Dish Anywhere?

2013-04-14 Thread Chasity Jackson
Hi. I wanted to know whether anyone has used the Dish Network app Dish
Anywhere? If so, is it accessible? The reason I ask is because right now
with Dish Network, we have a standard receiver. If I wanted to purchase the
Dish Network App, we would need to sign up with DVR service and get a high
definition receiver. It would add an additional $7 to our bill for a 24
month commitment. I just don't want to bother with a service that I can't
use for 24 months if it is not accessible. If it is, I'm glad to do it and
to have the app. Please let me know if you have used it. Thanks.

Question about Location tracking settings

2013-01-28 Thread Chasity Jackson
Hi. I have a question about location tracking settings. How do you turn them on
and off? And do you need to do that on each app or just simply somewhere in
settings? Thanks so much.

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if someone could please tell me the commands you would use
when reading iBooks with voiceover? I have never read an iBook. I have
downloaded a couple, but can't figure out how to open and read them. Any
help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Downcast question about not downloading for a while

2012-12-17 Thread Chasity Jackson

Hi all,

I was wondering what downcast will do if you haven't downloaded for a couple
months? How do you prevent getting old archives that you don't feel are
relevant from two months ago? What do you do if it is slow because you
haven't downloaded updates in two months? Thanks.

How do you add someone's home number in your contacts?

2012-07-23 Thread Chasity Jackson

Hi all,

When I go to add a contact, I see all the fields, except the home number. I
see mobile, iPhone, home email, etc. Then I see a home button, but when I
click on it, it takes me to a page where I can create a custom label. I am
uncertain as to how to make the field show up so I can add someone's home
number to my contacts. Any help would definitely be much appreciated. Thanks
in advance.

Re: Downcast: starting a partially played podcast

How do you listen to audio books through downcast?

It does it automatically I believe. At least I can't recall playing with
any

particular setting to enable this feature.
I listen to audiobooks through Downcast and never lose my place when
switching back and forth among books or traditional podcasts I subscribe
to.

I would like to know if it is possible to have downcast open a podcast
that
was stopped in the middle of the stream. I looked all around the app to
see

how to do this, but I didn't find any buttons that would do the trick. Any
suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Using the record feature on Tune In Radio Pro?

2012-07-06 Thread Chasity Jackson
Hi. I had a question concerning the record feature on Tune In Radio Pro. Any
time I have hit record, it does not start right at the spot that I have
chosen. Instead, it backs up about five minutes or so, and begins recording
at that spot. I am wondering why it does this? I have gone into the settings
to try and find something that might indicate why it does this, or to try
and find a setting that would enable me to change this, but have found
nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Downcast? And, any other pod catchers?

2012-07-06 Thread Chasity Jackson
Hi. I currently use downcast to subscribe to and listen to podcasts. When I
browse the various categories, it only displays the first hundred results in
each category. I am wondering if anyone knows how to display more results
than that? Also, are there other recommendations for other pod catchers out
there that might be better to use than downcast? Thanks.

Re: Downcast? And, any other pod catchers?

2012-07-06 Thread Chasity Jackson
Thanks for the advice about writing to the developer. I have only had my
iPhone a little over a month, and I have not yet written any developers of
any of the apps. Can you please tell me how to do this? Thanks. And, thanks
for the suggestion of iCatcher. I will definitely download that. Have you
ever used Instacast? Do you have an opinion about that particular pod
catcher one way or another? Thanks.

Not to my knowledge. You could write the Developer to request that more
results be shown in future releases. This too is one of the few gripes I
have about this app.
iCatcher is a solid podcasting app. Apple's stand alone podcast app while
fully accessible feels on the skimpy side as far as features though. The
Apple app is free and if I remember correctly, iCatcher is $1.99 or
something.

Voxer

hellow,
normally voxer will say a number after the unread messages. Zellow is ok,
althought not necessarily better, since you've got to wait for people to
accept your contact. I like the fact that you can talk on public channels
though. To delete messages from voxer, double tap and hold your finger on a
message, and swipe to the right. Take your finger off and look for confirm
delete whatever that message is. Once you delete messages you've read you
won't have so many to look through to find teh unread ones.

Hope that helps,
Harmony.

Hello listers,

I noticed a walkie talkie app called Zello is VO accessible. I've been

and why. I did not like voxer because I could not get it to play my
unread messages without flicking through a long list of previous messages,
then I could not figure out which ones were read and unread until I
listened to the messages. In short, I found voxer very cumbersome. Maybe
that has changed with updates to the Voxer app? My main complaint to
heytell is that sometimes it works inconsistently.

So, I'm asking for a comparison. I know I can just download and try it.
However, then I would have to get my friends and family to download it to
see if they like it. So, I thought I'd get a little info first.

Thanks so very much,
