Sieghard I know you are the last person here in this group which I want to incentive the following but to be sure: please tell accessibility! Because we know you always do report such glidges. Regards Davy From: Sieghard Weitzel Sent: Thursday, October 17, 2019 5:13 AM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: RE: attention: possible severe dictation bug in ios13.1.3 German keyboard installed in addition to English and I have had this issue ever since iOS 13 came out, in fact since I was using the public beta it was for much longer than that. I have the keyboard on English and dictate say a text Message and stupid SIRI interprets what I say as German and what comes out is total jibberish. Sometimes switching to the German keyboard and back to English works, other times it doesn’t. I have even gone so far as to turn off dictation and turn off Hey SIRI which essentially turns SIRI off and it warns you that all data accumulated on Apple servers about your speaking habits will be deleted, I went ahead and then re-enabled everything with no effect. I don’t think I have ever encountered the reverse, e.g. if my keyboard is on German it seems to interpret things in German, but then again I don’t use it as often. If I use SIRI to say Text so and so and then speak the message in English it usually works fine, it’s just when I actually use dictation in an edit field where it messes up. I wonder if this only happens to Voiceover users since I think if it were a wide spread issue one would have heard about it in the mainstream tech press.
