RE: charging the verbatim Bluetooth keyboard?

2012-09-27 Thread Sandy Finley
Melissa, open the keyboard and put it flat on a desk top. There are two ways
to tell top from bottom. On the bottom row are two space bar keys; there
are two keys instead of the traditional one long one because that's where
the keyboard folds. On the left side you'll feel a vertical round kind of
thing; that's where batteries are. More about those later. Towards the
bottom of the keyboard, just a bit to the right of the batteries is a slide
switch that clicks left and right. Sliding it to the left turns the keyboard
on. Slightly above that switch is a small hole that would fit a stylus. This
is the button you use for pairing.

Write me off list later tonight at finleykn...@gmail.com if you need more
help and I'll be home. I think I have additional info at my house. And I can
help you with the keyboard.

Sandy

Subject: charging the verbatim Bluetooth keyboard?

I know that several of you have this keyboard, so I have a few questions.
Does this keyboard use regular batteries, or can I charge it with a sub
cable. I can't figure out where the USB port is on this keyboard. I got
the keyboard that has been discussed on this list, i believe it's the
verbatim 97353 or something like that. also, where is the on/off switch? I
see a couple of switches that are possibilities, but unable to pair it yet.
thanks.

Re: charging the verbatim bluetooth keyboard?

2012-09-27 Thread Christopher Chaltain
This keyboard takes batteries, and I don't believe there's a USB
connection anywhere on the keyboard. The batteries are in the
cylindrical shaped compartment on the left of the keyboard. Slide it up
to get to the batteries.

The on/off switch is next to the battery compartment, just to the right,
about 2/3 the way down the keyboard. It's a little vertical tab. Slide
it towards the batteries to turn the keyboard on and towards the keys to
turn it off.

I believe to pair it, you need to use a pin or something in the hole
just above the on/off switch.
