Recently, I bought ring maker pro, 99¢. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ringtone-maker-pro-create/id390777480?mt=8 I've found it quite accessible. Some of the buttons are labeled oddly, but that's pretty easy to overlook. You open the app, pick a song from your library, then you can begin editing. There are start and stop tickers to flick up and down. There is a play button to check how you are doing with your creation. There are buttons to really fine tune the time intervals. When you have your tone just how you like it, the app will create it for you; you can email it to yourself or share it with a friend. Of course, at this point, you need to go to iTunes on your pc/mac and upload the tone. original iphone ringtones
Hi listers, My phone is jailbroken and I have created a problem myself with original iPhone ringtones. Unintentionally I have deleted them and now I have only my custom ringtones. Be careful with what is selected before deleting. So here is my question. Is there a place where I can download the original iPhone ringtones or if someone can share them with me? Hi there. I'm glad it worked. One recommendation I might make is that if you use an app like I file, you can restore deleted files so if you find that you deleted something by accident you can get it back. Hi Buddy, If the files have the extension M4R, they will go to the right folder. If they're in MP3, you'll need to convert them to M4A and then rename the extension M4R. Hi Buddy. I'll answer your ring tones question, but just as a bit of friendly advice, it's better if you post each question in separate emails. That way your questions will grab more attention and have proper threading and sorting for people who might look at the archives, or who sort messages by thread. As for the ring tones, you can email them to yourself and open them from Windows or the Mac and they will import into iTunes directly. Or you can copy them to the automatically add to iTunes folder and when you run iTunes they will be added to the right place. Then later when you sync your phone, if it's already set to sync ring tones, they should be added. Good luck. -- Raul A. Add them to automatically add to iTunes in your my music folder on your computer. Look for iTunes in your my music folder. once you find iTunes there open that and look for iTunes media. in that folder you'll find automatically add to iTunes. I've got a bunch of tones. Many were made from TV shows such as Cops, All in the Family, Guilligan's Island etc. Some came in both M4R and MP3. I could put them up on my dropbox public folder if anybody wants them. Thanks to Raul and I think Sieghard, I bought a few ring tones for my phone, but I was disappointed that I couldn't find the ones I really wanted. One is the original ATT ring tone, at least it is the one I think is from ATT that I've heard for years; I wish I knew it's name; next time I find some one that has that tone I'm going to ask if they know its name. I like it because it builds up as it continues ringing. I don't know how else to describe it. But I was wondering, if anybody knew where you can find TV Theme song ring tones. I didn't see that listed in the two places I looked. I know they have to be around, but where can you find them? I've been very disappointed in the couple of ringtones I've purchased. The volume isn't as loud as the rest of my ringtones and I don't always hear the calls they're assigned to. There is a way to do this; open iTunes, search for whatever you want. Then if you have your setting to headings, find songs and flick up until you hear tones or ringtones. Then flick right and hear your choices. Most tones are $1.29. If you don’t have the setting to headings, you will have to flick right past songs, albums, etc. It does work, and the tones are available. Before you get the tone, you will be asked if you want it to be made the dafault ringtone or to set it with a contact. Should you do either of these, you must tap on save to keep the change. Deleting ringtones
Hi, Yesterday I downloaded an app called UnlimiTones Whichn lets you download ringtones to a jailbroken iPhone for free. I downloaded two of the same tones,and I'd like to delete one of them. The tones are in my tones section on my phone. I'm running 6.1 on a 4S. I've tried doing it on the phone and through the pc through iTunes. Any ideas? Deleting ringtones
Hi, I'm running 6.1 on a jailbroken 4S, and I've downloaded a ringtone from UnlimTones but I downloaded it twice. How do I delete it from my ringtone section? Can I do it from the phone? And if I have to use the computer, will these tones even show up because again, I didn't buy them from iTunes. The only way I've been able to send a ringtone is to attach it to an email and for this I needed to use my laptop. If there's a way to do it with only the phone, I would be interested in knowing. I don't know if there is a way to share ringtones from one iPhone to another. I just email ringtones to my husband that I have created. He opens up the attachment from his computer and it plays and adds it to his iTunes library. If you create a folder on your computer to store your ringtones, then add them to itunes, you can choose which ringtones go to your phone, just like songs. Hi Scott, If you give the ringtones to your wife on a USB stick or, if your computers are networked, copy them into her ringtones folder in iTunes Media, she can then select them and sync them to her phone. The main thing is to get them from your ringtones folder into her ringtone folder. Hi Mickey, Not necessarily. If you use the same iTunes folder iTunes still recognizes different iDevices independently and you could, for example, have an iPhone and sync certain apps to it as well as maybe some music and ringtones and you could have an iPod Touch to which you sync different apps and no ringtones since it makes no sense to sync ringtones or apps like Navigon unless you have an external GPS receiver. In the same way just using the same ringtones folder you may still have to select the ringtones you want unless you have both devices set up to sync all ringtones. In that case all the ringtones in the folder should be synced to both iPhones. Hi Jeff, As long as you enabled to sync via WiFi in iTunes you just have to make sure the ringtones are in your Tones library and that you have selected to either sync all ringtones or if you select to sync selected ringtones you have to make sure the ones you want to sync are checked. Then just sync. After all, they're ringtones. 3.Click begin and go do the dishes, as Goldwave shuts down sometimes when you exit the window. this is a bug! After the files are all converted, click OK and exit Goldwave. 4.Enter the command prompt, and change the directory to the desired location, e.g. ringtones, by typing cd\ringtones. Then type ren *.m4a *.m4r. This only takes a second. 5.Once all the m4a files have been renamed, exit the command prompt and enter File Explorer. 6.Go to the folder with your m4r ringtones and hit control-a to select all of them. 7.Go to iTunes. Find the tree view, and hit t until it says tones. If there is no tones playlist, create it. 8.Now press tab, which takes you to the playlist itself. Press control-v to paste the files into the list. 9.Go to the tree view again and select your device. Then tab to the sync tones radio button and check it. Then, tab about six times until you find a check box that says sync tones. I haven't used any of the iPhone apps recently. I now use anadeus pro it is excellent but it is not something I would buy for the purpose of making ring tones.. When I go into Settings, Sounds, and select texting or any of the other non-phone-ringing events for which sounds may be chosen, those added ring tones show up in the list of choices. Hi, Place it in the automatically add to iTunes folder in your iTunes library and then just sync the phone, there's no need to select tones in the sources list in iTunes when you sync tones to the phone in this way. RE: recording ringtones with smartrecorder
Ricardo and Others, I recently acquired a 4S, which I LOVE. However, I have not had any luck in syncing the ringtones that I made myself within iTunes to my phone. I check the Tones box, select my ringtones that I want to sync, and they just never make it to the phone...or, I should say, if they do, I don't know where they are because they are not listed with the rest of the ringtones. Am I doing something wrong, or is this something that Apple put a stop to in their latest version of iTunes? Is anyone else having this problem?
