Another moderator's note about thank you messages - Was Re: Accessible App to Track LASERSHIP Packages from Amazon?
Hi all. This is another friendly reminder that everyone should watch out to not send thank you messages to the list. Re: Accessible App to Track LASERSHIP Packages from Amazon?
Ok, I know this isn't quite in the spirit of the question, but this just worked for me when chasing a package in a non-standard courier. I used the pc to find the company's main web site. I got hold of the track number and entered it. When I saw the results, I got into the address field, selected and copied to clipboard, the entire address. Then sent myself an email to my apple me.com account with just the link in and maybe parcel track in the subject. Then, when I want to check, I open said message, click on the link, and it is checked all over again. This should work with any service offering trackingthough agree it will depend on a certain form or style, very common attributes, but with a minor possibility that they do it different so the details don't occupy the address line tail as parameters. RE: Accessible App to Track LASERSHIP Packages from Amazon?
Hi Alan, As somebody else already pointed out out, Shiprack is the only app you can forward emails to, but maybe somebody should suggest to the developers of Posted, Parcel and Delivery Status Touch to look into including such a feature. I still like Delivery Status Touch, all I have to do is find the tracking number in the email, select and copy it to the clipboard, then when I open Delivery Status Touch I don't even have to tap on Add new delivery, the app automatically pops up a message telling me that it found a Fed Ex, UPS or whatever tracking number and do I want to add this as a new delivery. I tap OK and the tracking number is automatically inserted, so far I think it was always correct as to which carrier it chose and all I had to do is tap in the edit field to add a description for which I usually use Dictation and then tap save. I find this just as easy as having to select to forward the email and then to type the shiprack address into the To field of the the email and tap Send. to arrive. The main view shows the latest status of all your packages, and counts down to the estimated delivery date. Tap a delivery for more information, and to see where it is on a map. If you like you can view the shipping company’s web page, or easily share your shipment over email, text message, or AirDrop. On iOS 7, Delivery Status can even update in the background, or add your estimated delivery dates to your calendar. Delivery Status supports more than 30 services, including UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, TNT, Canada Post, City Link, Royal Mail, DPD, and many more. You can also track orders from services like Amazon and Apple, even before they ship. (Some services are limited to specific countries, visit junecloud.com/services for details.) If you have packages from other services, just select “Other” and enter a delivery date and web site. Delivery Status will track the site and let you know when it changes. You can sync your deliveries between your devices with iCloud or our own Junecloud sync. If you create a Junecloud account, you can update your tracking numbers from any web browser, or sync with our Dashboard widget for Mac. From the supported services on the developer’s website: * Adobe.com US and Canada only. * Amazon Including Amazon.com, Amazon.ca, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.co.jp, Amazon.de, Amazon.at, Amazon.es, Amazon.fr, and Amazon.it, as well as Amazon Payments. When you track an Amazon order you'll get tracking details from many of the shipping companies they use, including the US Postal Service, UPS, OnTrac, LaserShip, Ensenda, Prestige, and more. * Apple.com Including all international stores. The iPhoto print service is not currently supported, though you may be able to track these shipments with a different service once you receive a tracking number. I bought all 3 apps after Track This went away to test them all and decide on one. I still use all 3 at times trying to decide which I like best and the fact is that all 3 are good although if Delivery Status Touch background push notifications worked for me I think I’d probably use that one the most. Hi again, Alan, OK, should have done this before since I did it for the other 3 apps I mentioned. I just looked up the app description for Shiprack again and I found the following in their listing of supported carriers: Regional and specialized ones: A1 International, Ensenda, LaserShip, OnTrac, Prestige, and Purolator. According to this you should be able to track Lasership deliveries just fine. I know that at least three or four different apps for tracking packages have been mentioned here. I have been using the Shiprack app which I've found to be accessible, free, and easy to use since you simply forward the shipped package email from the vendor to get the package to be tracked into the Shiprack system. The last couple of items I've ordered from Amazon have been shipped using an outfit called LASERSHIP which is at the following website: http://lasership.com/index.php I've noticed that the Amazon packages shipped using LASERSHIP can't be tracked using Shiprack and I'm wondering if anyone using one of the other package tracking apps has successfully tracked a package delivered by LASERSHIP with it. If so, could you share the name of the app and your opinion of it? I don't mind paying a couple of bucks for a package tracking app provided it's accessible and supports the carriers delivering my packages. Thanks in advance. RE: Accessible App to Track LASERSHIP Packages from Amazon?
True, in fact, I requested lasership, and it was in their database within a day or two. I was truly impressed!!
