RE: Problem continuously scrolling in native Twitter app

2019-10-08 Thread M. Taylor
Hello Christina,

As I have not yet encountered this issue, and therefore cannot rap my mind
around it, all I can suggest is that you and anyone who has had this problem,
contact Twitter via a Tweet @TwitterSupport, on the web at help.twitter.com,
and/or by posting your comments in the App Store.

I have now run into the same problem as Kathy, except I had to scroll back
quite a bit. I was like 2 or 3 days back before the page would not scroll
anymore. I tried scrolling up and then back down twice to see if that would
force it to load more tweets and that didn’t work. So, I see what Kathy is
talking about, but I had to go way way back in my timeline to encounter this.

Re: Problem continuously scrolling in native Twitter app

2019-10-07 Thread Ed Worrell
Hello Cathy,

I have been thinking about your issue for a few days with the native Twitter
app. Here’s my thoughts…

The see new tweets button is acting as expected. It’s loading the newest tweets
and jumping you to the top of the time line as that is where the new tweets are
located. In order to scroll to older tweets when you think you have come to the
end you will need to perform a three finger drag up and this will load more
tweets at the bottom of the newsfeed. I believe the native Twitter app only
cashes something like 200 tweets. So like I said above try doing a three finger
drag up to load more of the older tweets that you have not read.

I hope this helps.

Maybe try the Twitterrific app until the scrolling issue improves. Again, try
powering down your phone, wait a few minutes , then power it back up. Good luck

Thanks, Christina and Mark,
I am still on my iPhone 5s, which is running iOS 12.4.2, and I have Twitter
version 7.60. Coincidentally or otherwise, when I turn voiceover off and
scrolled up, and turned it back on, then it seemed like I got to read more

The twitter app isn’t behaving that way at all for me. It just continuously
scrolls down. Make sure you have the latest Twitter app because they just
updated it a day or 2 ago. One other idea is to make sure your wifi data or
data signal is strong. Also try rebooting your phone. FYI, I’m running iOS

Re: Problem continuously scrolling in native Twitter app

2019-10-04 Thread Kathy Brandt
I go to see latest tweets, and flick from one tweet to the next. At the bottom
of the screen, just above compose tweet, it says see new tweets. If I were to
want to continue reading beneath that last tweet, I can’t, because if I double
tap on see new tweets, the screen jumps back to the top. I want to see new
tweets only when I want to see new tweets; I should be able to read through 700
if that’s what I want to do before seeing new ones if it’s going to send me
back to the top of the display and make me start over. In the center of the
screen I was advised at one point here to place a finger briefly in the middle
of the screen, and then flick, which would let me read more tweets, and for a
while in past updates there was indeed a show more tweets button, and below
that, tweets I presume from even much earlier. In any case, if I double tapped
on show more tweets, I was not sent back to the top of the screen. I hope this
clarifies things.

Re: Problem continuously scrolling in native Twitter app

2019-10-03 Thread Christina
I’m on version 7.60, which came out a couple of days ago, and I’m able to
scroll down just fine on my timeline. I don’t use the Twitter app much because
Twitterrific works better for me personally.
Best of luck,
Christina

RE: Problem continuously scrolling in native Twitter app

2019-10-03 Thread Kevin Minor
Hi Kathy and all.

I rarely use the Twitter app, and I haven't done so since the upgrade, but it
sounds like Voiceover is doing exactly what it's supposed to, and that's just
reading the current screen. This is an area where, if it's there, the vertical
scroll is really handy. You can move through a percentage of what's displayed.
I like the concept. I currently have too many email messages for it to be
useful, but I see why some would like it. I don't know if this is on the
Twitter app, but check it out.

Kevin and Jilly
