I don't understand how this has anything to do with Apple dropping their
ad sponsored music streaming. Apple has the licensing rights to stream
the music in the iTunes store, so I don't see how Apple could be afraid
of being sued. I also couldn't find anything with a Google search
explaining
A lot of that is due to the fact that a lot of stations were taken down due to
licensing restrictions. A lot of stations that were Radionomy owned stations
were taken off of tune in because of the issue that is plaguing them with this
lawsuit that they're dealing with from Sony.

I have a different problem with the app, certain programmes that I
follow aren't updated. It will tell me when the programme is on but
the played episodes do not appear

I believe that as it was originally conceived, Car Mode allowed the
user to speak a search text into the device. It was meant for drivers
to use in cases where they didn't want to type in the call
for listening!
