Hi Richard,

What I did was turn off the iPhone. It may have worked with the iPhone on, but 
I wasn’t certain so I thought it would be safer for the power the iPhone down.

Yes, I know what you mean. I did finally connect them. Microsoft could not help 
me, but another Apple rep not in accessibility did. I had to go down to my 
headphones in System Tray and open that, and then the Air Pods were recognized. 
Again, the major use with these will be for Apple products, that’s really what
