You can do so by the model number. I would have to Google this again myself,
but you can do this just as easily, just search for "How to check if my iPhone
is new or refurbished" or something like that. The model numbers start with a
certain letters if it is a new or refurbished phone.

That's great. I got a brand new iPhone 5 due to a bad headphone jack a couple
of weeks before my AppleCare was about to lapse in 2015 and have bought

I have been told that my replacement phone was new when in fact it turned out
to be refurbished. I am not saying this is the case with yours, but this has
been my experience in the past. On the other hand it doesn't really matter
because for all intends and purposes an Apple refurbished phone

said box having the devices ID numbers and such on it's label. This is what
prompted me to ask about the phone as I assumed it would be a refurbished
model. I was told that, had they any refurbished
