i'm seeing this bug on my iphone 5 too, thank god it's not just me.
Hope apple can fix this eventually, it is super annoying.

Yes, and it is there in 8.1.
Sometimes just turning off wireless and waiting a minute and turning it back
on gets it to reconnect.
